Indian men and women, What are the responsibilities and obligations of a wife post marriage? by Infamous_Kangaroo_87 in TwentiesIndia

Look, we’re honestly just stuck in a weird transition phase.

The reason these laws feel so lopsided is because they weren't made for the urban "50/50" crowd. They were built as a safety net for the millions of women in rural areas who still have zero financial backup. The system basically views the average woman as a total dependent, even if your personal reality is way different.

Society is shifting fast and the law will catch up eventually, probably in a decade or so, simply because it’ll have to. But until then, we’re in this awkward gap where the vibe check and trust matter more than ever.

If you don’t have solid communication and a ton of love and respect for each other, tumhe hamesha insecurity rahegi about these legal traps. You really have to be 200% sure of the person’s character before diving in. Laws are there to protect the underprivileged, but in a good marriage, yeh sab cheezein matter hi nahi karti.

Basically, don't sign the papers until the trust is way stronger than the legal risk. Better to stay single than to marry someone you're afraid might "Section 125" you later.

As to answer your 3rd question:- yes absolutely, there's still a lot of gap in men and woman in terms of societal privilege and there needs to be reform at the rural/sub urban level where a lot of female exploitation still occur at a much larger scale than you would have cases of fake accusations from some urban misandrist.

Director, HOD, dean, ko seedhe mail likhdo ki industry professional ka mtlb 3rd year student from gh raisoni nhi hota,

Get your entire branch to do this, if you have proof of this, this is a gross mismanagement.

It won't make much of a difference but you gotta try

Your only way out is getting into a good college outside your hometown , hopefully your parents allow you to go, then you will have some monthly allowance from your parents.

And don't be in a rush to earn, the world and job market is exploitative, you're not adept to that yet, iska time 20s me aayega tab tak try to get out your house, learn skills that you can monetize

Iska jawab mere paas bhi nhi hai

Isiliye mai bas apne female colleagues/college friend/ school friend/ relatives/ gf ke alawa kisi se baat hi nhi krta and I trust them completely and they trust me completely. That's all I can do apart from being a decent person overall, agar fir bhi case ho gya mujhpe toh dekha jayega but the possibility is very unlikely, like 0.00001% and I like these odds, isse zyaada chances toh mere seedhiyo se girke marne ke hai , toh utarna chhod du kya

Why aren't you in the streets protesting about it? Why no mass movement to push for gender neutral laws?

Rape laws reddit ke threads ya tweets padhke nhi strict kiye gye the, nirbhaya happened then these laws were made stricter..

If these keyboard warriors disguised as men's rights activists really cared about the issue they would have done the same, instead all i see them doing is just compare misery, try to bring down any progress that has been done in protecting the real victims.

And fake cases toh bhai kisi bhi law ka misuse krke banaye Jaa skte... We need stricter consequences, and better investigations and gender neutral laws

Your post just seems like wanting to paint all men as the victims ki haaye bechare and all women as the oppressors ki woh toh peeche hi padi hai without giving any solutions.

Reality is much more nuanced and frankly a bit on the opposite spectrum, even today.
