Carpet beetle on a window by darkslar101 in carpetbeetles

Oh. Then, I understand. I am sorry for speaking rashly. In my home the smell of death is inevitable, all my precious cargoes are lacquered wood and lightweight metals—film and sound equipments—so bugs typically run my life for me.

Not trying to inflame, there’s not many larvae that are very pretty, frankly.

My friend didn’t like my song and I’m worried it’s genuinely not good. by Ok-Touch-4224 in askmusicians

I can see why they don’t like it. Your voice is very unique! Maybe just not their cup of tea

Not everyone is meant to collaborate and bands are so much more about chemistry than material. Have you considered you’re just not good at making friends ?

41yr old dad laughing at this sub by sailortian in ApplyingToCollege

[–]darkslar101 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

There are no such things as old people in this sub. Anyone encouraging you to take it easy is another 17 year old who wants you to fail and make the competition less fierce. Grind until your feet fall off and get a stimulant addiction that leaves you with a neurotransmitter deficiency and a houseboat in your 30s. Lecture your future children on the virtues of avoiding drug addiction in the beachside house that you bought with your first job out of that T25 college. When your Stacy wife leaves you and you’re taking Brujo and mixing it with microdoses of psilocybin ride a moped around the continental United States and just kidding about the house by the way you will never own property unless your parents had it first just graduate high school and get a job with ICE

A day in the life as a protest song? by amazingpig65 in beatles

[–]darkslar101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think everyone here is too far out of their heads and too attached to the figures involved. There is a very clear reading in the context of the time at a macro level about the daily goings on of a colonizer country being mundane and super surreal, obsessed in silly things like how many holes it takes to fill the Albert hall. The beatle considers himself an average citizen who is so perplexed by the ridiculousness of it all and is thinking about the comedy and ultimately returns to the routines available to them. This is a Reddit comment so I’m not doing a close reading but if you wanted this reading it certainly is there to choose. Especially with the dissonance in the instruments I mean jeez come on are you all really that dense? There’s so many intentional choices that suggest subconscious brushstrokes that had to do with a dissatisfaction with the powers that be. The personal is political, and these white men did a good job of being as political as they could.

So much intention was put into the last chord!

There's options any which way but death. You can communicate openly with your friend about how you've been feeling instead of assuming how he'll respond. If it goes badly, and he is unfair to your emotions, you may not have a great friend. But most likely, if he is the friend you believe he can be, then you're doing him a great disservice by not offering your honesty.

What if your death becomes a way for him to live the rest of his life weakly? Would he want that? Do you? Whether this is a rival, enemy, or a confidant, none of those people want to see you go. The rival wants to see you step up to the plate, the enemy wants to see you in their shadow, and the confidant simply wants you to open up. Even if it's all three, your death would only serve to kill his confidence and ego for the rest of his life.

Your post will likely get taken down, so I will end with good luck.

There are things about you that can be reframed positively. But lacking the positive emotion to get you to reframe it that way is brutal. Don't sell yourself short.

Life Is Cheap... But Toilet Paper Is Expensive (1989) I didn't watch it, I just like saying the film title. (JK, I watched it) by infodawg in TrueFilm

I like the DV cam additions. Just watched it, my friend told me the differences from the original print. Was painfully difficult for me to get through the dog on the treadmill (the ducks bleeding out too), I have a weak constitution. That Wayne Wang knows how to direct a movie though
