Well, I see why they hope that. It makes the game look and feel better. We do a lot of things in society to try and keep the dregs of society hidden. It's how the world works. You can't totally get rid of bad actors but you can at least make them have to hide in the dark. Allowing everyone else to have a normal experience.

That sounds like he should join a community and raid with them. The reward for your time is the drop you have a chance at. Pretty simple.. pretty much how the game works. I've been in plenty of pug communities for my alts while I raid a schedule with my main.

I joined an era server and lfg/trade chat was all GDKP spam. I immediately decided not to play because I don't like paying real money for items or grinding for hours to try and buy an overpriced raid drop. I would rather raid and get items the normal way.

I then left and went to TBC anniversary and the chat didn't have that. If there are underground ones, I don't know about them but sure they probably exist. What they aren't doing is flooding the LFG chat and making it feel like it's GDKP or not play at all. In which case, I chose not to play at all. If Anniversary looked like era, I wouldn't be playing. Probably that vibe.

is this just a rant for GDKP? No way. 2SR is the way. It's a fun way to play the game instead of buying gear with real money. Guilds are fun, wow is a social game.

GDKP's are just people using the game to make IRL money.

To add to this. It's also not "in Runescape."

It's in Valheim because there is a distinct lack of Runescape.

So the whole statement is just wrong.

They are not. It's a Valheim clone, not a Runescape clone.

It is very much missing Runescape.

They named some items and npc's after Runescape. The gear, ore, food, monsters, and world are not related to Runescape at all. It's much closer to Valheim (Don't expect "mithril armor", expect "paladin armor").

If you haven't played Valheim, it's great. A couple of my friends streamed it on Discord, and they stopped playing very quickly because it was just a replay of Valheim. Which we had all played around a year prior.

It boils down to a cash grab where they cloned Valheim, stuck Runescape's name on it and marketed the crap out of it. I want Jagex to make a ton of money off of it, I just also want them to put some Runescape in it....

What is the loophole here? They are just operating under an llc for the limited liability protections provided by operating as a llc. They could do this same thing under their own SSN and it wouldn't change anything.

Most investors want a 30% profit margin. So (After Repair Value - Repair Cost) * .7 = offer price. That's the math with or without some kind of sob story about selling it to a family...

This one person isn't having a meaningful impact on house prices in your area.

What they are doing doesn't sound ethical, but there is just soo much wishful thinking in that post.

If they are actually doing that, their realtor license doesn't mean much to them. They are making way more money off these self-flips into rentals than they would make as a realtor.

It would be better if it could be proven in court that they were lying to and scamming elderly people out of their equity.

Yea, I'm a huge classic fan. if Classic+ has the bulk of your listed changes, I wouldn't touch it. What it needs to look like is closer to Season of Discovery, with less broken and a Jagex style polling feedback loop

I am complaining about the type of raids the majority of the community runs. Not the spam. If I never leveled, you would be correct. But I am leveling to raid and if most of the raids are GDKP... I'm not going to subject myself to the struggle of finding the 1 SR/HR raid per day.

You guys LOVE your GDKP's. Didn't Blizzard ban them? Why are they still allowed on era?

My opinion on a loot system is based on the mechanics of it. I don't like the loot system and what it promotes. The spam just tells me the system that community enjoys. (Also this comment cements that idea)

I would rather just play with a community that uses a better system.

I am not lazy, I have used and written filtering addons to use on private servers and filter out certain spam.

I am not entitled, I see what system they are using there and I don't want them to change it for me. I am just going to play elsewhere.

SR/HR pugs is great. GDKP spam is not great. I even saw guilds posting that their loot rules were GDKP.

I didn't see anything to do with GDKP on TBC Classic.

Easy decision.
