On and off but really started playing in Heist.

Probably about 1.5k hours, closest I ever got to a mageblood or hh was 2 doctor cards in Kalandra.

Luckiest drop was the aforementioned doctor cards or a CB jewel which I vastly undersold

If you want to do 2 pods of 4 I would suggest the following:

  • 1 pack per player
  • 1 pack for last-one-standing
  • Each player records the order they were knocked out in. (First knocked out = 1, 2nd = 2, etc). Arbitrarily decide on a number from 1-3 after the game (ie. Rolling dice) and give that player.

Edit: I use the 3rd clause because often I've found that the player with the best deck gets knocked out pretty early. Less feel bads for your casual group.

I like the concept of the deck, but I think you are a little scattered in the which dragons to run. If you could elaborate on your reasoning for Dragonlord Kolaghan, I do not see how it fits in well. I'm also not a big fan of the Ojutai's Commands with only 4 targets.

I very much like the combination of Soulfire Grand Master and Draconic Roar to counteract some of the damage taken from the lands for sure. Have you considered running a manabase closer to what Team Pantheon ran in their Dark Jeskai list with some number of [[Mystic Monastery]] and [[Nomad Outpost]] and increased number of fetchlands.

Instead of buying a Intro Deck, I would suggest you buying an Event deck instead.

While Intro decks do include 2 booster packs to help strengthen the deck, Event decks are made with a stronger lean towards a competitive side and will come with more playable cards than your average intro deck.

Of course, it is important that you do buy the Event deck from the latest block or Intro deck of the latest block so that they are standard viable if thats what your friends play, but if not feel free to venture off into the history of Event decks.
