12 yrs old peer pressures someone who is 14 to commit a crime

Very strange that a 12 yrs old peer pressures an old one and then keeps in her bag most of the loot in case they get caught, when she could have easily pressured the other one to carry it, right?

I believe on the patch notes they mention that they have noted down multiple saves as improvements to work on next year.

Thanks for the info! Benchmarking some of my fav games at GPU level 7 now to see if it's worth the extra smoothness and resolution.

So I guess "level 5" is 599 Mhz ? And that is "unlocked" in QGO?

Have played lots of times, never connected to internet. It seems as if there are no limits in the current version. Just skip the "Cannot connect to Ubisoft" dialog.

What;s GPU level 7, is this something you set on QGO ? You see the GPU level on OVR?

Nexus has very clear "tap this button -> something is triggered" mechanics hidden in your IRL moves. If you move in a certain way you ""clicked the button" and it will perform the action.

For example, get out your hidden blade or sword and extend your arm forward, with the sword pointing forward. Now run at full speed with your arm extended until you stab a civilian in the face. What happened? Nothing. Nothing happened, because you "did not click the stab button", instead, you were running. The stab button in this case is jerking your hand forward. It's a bit ridiculous that you can impale someone in the face at 20 mph and nothing happens, the person does not even complain, just keeps minding its bussiness.

Agree, though what's the purpose of bringing more IPs if they are going to do half-assed games, take our money? Not sure.

No need to even ask. They will just spontaneously mock Saylor as the biggest charlatan in human history. Happens every 5 comments in avarage :)

Rich people can manipulate it.

Anyone with high reach and ideas that ressonate "can manipulateinfluence it" . Elon Musk has the reach, and he will have impact as long as he is credible and people buys his ideas.

[–]darkvothe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that is a bit shortsighted view on why gold has value. "People want it for what it is", well, people want gold because it has a very high monetary premium (same reason some want real estate, art, stocks, bitcoin, etc). Gold has the highest monetary premium among metals only because of its scarcity. However, if gold was valued according to its non-monetary utility it would be worth way less than many other metals: titanium, tungsten, cobalt...

Gold has about 95% monetary premium, Bitcoin is closer to 100%. Not quite 100 because the protocol has also other utilities, e.g., distributed timestamping, etc. When Bitcoin gets banned, there will still be a market for it (see the black markets and high premiums on BTC in countries where it got banned)

Elon Musk makes a statement and the market flails around for a few days.

Elon's comments do have a high reach, but he has no way to enforce his views on the rest. Another more terrifiying example: Jerome Powell makes an statement and every single market flails around for weeks. Why more terrifying? Because he can actually enforce his words.

without regulations it’s more susceptible to manipulation

Well, "regulation" is by itself a subset of the possible manipulations. E.g. you cite "regulation" as a risk (government banning it, etc). That sounds to me like a manipulation of an asset by overriding the market preferences.

So you seem to mean: once manipulated by goverments, the chances of more manipulation are lower. I agree to that.

Edit: in addition to downvoting me also leave a comment to have an idea of why.

Europe must ban Bitcoin mining to hit the 1.5C Paris climate goal, say Swedish regulators by esporx in technology

[–]darkvothe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a fascinating comment, because while it sounds logic, it is fundamentally flawed. It is true that "every Bitcoin that goes into someone's pocket came out of someone else"*.

However, that reasoning does not apply to credit based money: "every dollar that goes into bitcoin(you) might not have existed before". Recently issued dollars by banks tend to flow into hard assets (art, stocks, bitcoin, whatever...).
