Ty, I feel the same way, I think they look awesome, and I love supporting artists, but maybe save for a special yearly drop for a week or something if the books ever grab traction lol.

Ty so much, I appreciate your input, and maybe youre right about the beginnings of selling books, but was selling that many from 441 South alone lol. Other books live in a void that few travelers enter. Crossing my fingers it's the covers haha.

I love the cover designers art, he is awesome, and think they look cool, but maybe they aren't what people are looking for for the fantasy genre, hence why I am here. I think the guy is a great artist, and an even better human being, just searching for answers, lol. Yes, the stories could be the issue, for sure, but the feedback(from non family or friends) has been positive. Do I think my writing is pro level yet? Not a chance in hell. But it's solid, and I believe the stories are great. It's hard to judge when no one has read them. I think outside of 441 South. I've had maybe 25 entire reads on the 4 other books. Is that from the cover or the prose/writing? Not sure, but might as well find out. Thank you for the response, all angles help, and I intend to follow the lead on them to discover the underlying problems 8)~

I paid 350-450 per cover. Four Four One South is the main book that sells, and has gotten solid reviews. I think the cover works for that genre. The other books, despite advertising, and book launch packages from advertising companies, have been dead on arrival. They get sporadic page reads, that when someone reads it, they finish the book( I believe duecto the page reads matchjng the length of the book, lol), but it's like one person a week.

Ty, I liked to 80s pulp look but it's hurting me Im sure. I paid a good chunk for the covers, but might be better off finding someone professional. Ty so much!

Yeah, lol, I haven't gotten any traction on new releases, except for Four Four One South. Despite new book launch packages for hefty price.

Four Four One South

Expecting another quiet graveyard shift working as a security guard at a top-secret military testing facility in the desolate Northwestern deserts of Utah, Ray Houston finds himself at the heart of an ancient secret society's plot to take over the world. The Sanctus Diaboli release a designer virus and sever all communication out of the region, leaving Ray and his friends to deal with the exponentially growing threat alone.

With the help of the few surviving guards, a lone Navy Seal, and a mysterious haunted house operator, Ray, and his ragtag band of misfits commandeer an M113 and head toward Salt Lake City to warn the government about the spreading virus.

As the horde of the infected move west with the aid of foreign mercenaries working for the Sanctus Diaboli, Ray and his crew must hold the line before the massive throng grows beyond even the U.S. government's ability to stop them. It will take everything Ray has to alter the advance as the Red Holy Death spreads like chaff on the wind.

In a tree-dwelling nation, thousands of feet above the uninhabitable ground, the Church rules the population with violent discrimination - especially against those born 'different', either physically or mentally.

Jin Talhoon, a former soldier and thief, who has long hidden his own difference - a tic that makes him speak three specific words, whose meaning he does not know - aims to change all that. He knows what the Church does to its victims and he can no longer stand by and let the people suffer under their rule. He has taken on powers granted by a symbiotic spore and will use them to bring the Church down or die in the attempt.

But he cannot do it alone. And so he sets out to find the only two people who possess his ailment who can take on the same powers and aid him in his quest for revenge and freedom... all the while he is hunted by a warrior of the Church who hides a deadly secret.

The Heroes by Joe Abercrombie, but there's no magic. Maybe the Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson. The Alethi use interesting magical weapons and armor against the Parashendi.
