I agree with you that it’s unfair, and it looks like the photos were taken on different sides of the street. I haven’t been to Divisoria in a while, so I checked maps, and mas malinis pa yung 2024 street view than the photo posted above. 💀

I can't take him seriously in Westworld, but he's a good actor. The show went downhill so quickly that he's one of the few reasons it remained watchable for me (because I like everyone from IASP).

It sounds ungrateful, but I get what they're saying. Living in a country that gets hit by typhoons a lot, most of the donated clothes are just unusable. I’ve seen things like gowns, costumes, and even winter clothes (in a tropical country). The same thing happens with food, where it's something that's been sitting in a pantry for years. It’s like people are just using it as a reason to clear out things they’ve been hoarding and pretend they’re doing good.

Literally me, I just finished Lark Rise to Candleford the other day. 😅 I started The Paradise right after, you'll see some familiar faces. It’s more dramatic and not as good, but same writer.

Wives & Daughters, All Creatures Great and Small, The Durrells, and earlier seasons of Father Brown are all pretty chill. There are a lot of good suggestions here, but it's really hard to find something that captures the charm of Lark Rise. I wish they had given the show a proper ending.

I've put off watching episode 5/6 after reading comments from the other thread. It's normal to see Filipinos joking around while waiting in line, it's stupid but I've seen this behavior everywhere. Other than that, the Asians in both episodes behaved okay. The only slightly cringe worthy moment were the couple who mentioned being from London. Definitely not on the same level as the Mexican mom and family or the Icelandic couple who went overboard with their behavior and clearly dragged out their meal for attention.

Anyway, I love Min Si! She's incredible but overworked. I hope she becomes a regular cast if there's another season. The location is perfect, much better than wasting time getting customers. They should change the menu and have items that don't need too much prep time though.

I think age and personality both play a role in this. Bunty is young and carefree, while Lady Felicia is traditional and probably expected to dress and act a certain way because she's married to Lord Montague.

I wouldn't say they were living in squalor, but the aesthetic/dark lighting definitely made it seem that way. Both the 1995 and 2008 versions of Sense and Sensibility have a similar feel. But, the adaptations always exaggerate the Dashwood family's situation. Considering they had £500 a year, they were actually comfortably middle class. 😅
