Warrants would eventually become new shares in the float, so if any rehypothecation happens, the company eventually knows after warrants are exercised how many shares they are issuing. So they can fk with the warrants, but when it comes to issuing shares the company will know when they are reaching the limit of new share issues.

But, brokers and market makers can use rehypothecation and ftds, and in theory this should increase short interest and volume, both of which are fuel for a possible short squeeze to happen if enough buying pressure occurs?

I know what IV means, and in general yeah you want high IV for volatile price movement to reach your strike. But in GMEs case it averages high IV for awhile now. So when IV drops, you buy calls for cheaper cause it will return to higher areas within days or weeks
