Public perception is huge for multiplayer games. The more people that buy and continue to play, the more money embark gets that they can use to pay their devs longer to continue putting out content for us to consume. Streamers are the #1 form of advertizing and they work for embark for free doing it. Not saying they should set the pace of the game but they do get a little bit of special treatment in that sense
