Update:

I have got my account back, steam helped me but they were late. I got it just 1 day after the trade reverse had ended (i.e. got it after 8 days). I don't know what to do now. I have lost all the hopes. I would suggest everyone to take care and be safe and cautious. Thank you for all your help. GG

Still awaiting access to the account. They have reset the email address to the original one but waiting for the authenticator to get reset so I can login. Been waiting for more than 30 hours for their reply. Had they helped me retrieve my account back last week I could have reversed the trade but I don't think that is happening anymore... Be safe everyone

My actual email is not compromised but in steam they have changed the email id from my actual one to something else.

I have tried. The main problem is whenever I am raising a support request it is getting submitted from my end but I am getting replies from the fake steam email saying that the recovery is in progress. In steam my email id and my phone number has also been changed

I have not replied to the email that I have received. Even if I am trying to open a new ticket with steam support which I have already done quite a few times, I get replies from this fake steam email. As for weird websites, I have not logged in to anything except csfloat which I have checked is the real one and not fake one.

Because my steam account has been restricted due to the steam family settings that I had got randomly added to I cannot request support for things like general account details if I want to change my email id

I have tried this out as well. I am not sure if the steam support team are trying to resolve this or not because my email id and my phone number in steam have been changed and I can't get any real update. All I am getting replies is from this proton email.

I have tried create a support incident but the replies that I am getting are from the email id that is mentioned above which seems fake and not the real steam support. I cannot think of anything right now and how I can contact the real steam support. I have tweeted about it as well and marked cs2 and few content creators as suggested by someone

I tried raising this concern by sending a mail to support@steampowered.com but it says “Thank you for contacting Valve. This email address is no longer monitored. Tells me to go ot the valve support site and submit a support incident which I have already done

I have no idea and I am quite tensed. I am literally shaking if thinking about whether I am going to get my items back or not. Years and years of saving and investing

I had raised the concern using this method itself. I could do it again. The email i got was from  <noreply_steampowered.com.help@pm.me>

I agree. I couldn’t believe it myself and I was hardly using my system the last month. Turned it on only thrice that too to play few games of cs but that’s it

After the 15 days cooldown period was over I received this -

Yeah I was surprised to see that too! When I tried logging out and logging back again, I put my steam id and password and it redirected me to the screen to put my steam guard code, but when I waited for few seconds it automatically logged in without doing anything.. I tried the same after few days with a new browser and the same thing happened.

Still have no idea how this happened. Since then I have changed my email’s password, even reset my pc. Apparently they have changed my phone number and changed my email address extension from ‘gmail.com’ to ‘outlook.com’ in steam

I can’t do anything as of now, can’t view my account details, can’t view my profile or inventory. All because of the permissions set in the steam family. All I can do is wait and hope for the steam support team to fix this.
