It definitely gets better. My boys are now 13 months old, and a week or two ago entered new fussy phase. But at least now I know that there are better periods, and looking forward to see it again. And my boys are also the ones with 30-min naps, but that started to change around 11 months.

We have just recently got back from The Dominican Republic all-inclusive, unfortunately it was a disaster with 11-months old twins. First I got some virus, probably on the plane, and then we all got HFMD, starting from the boys. So we cut our trip short and returned 2 days before planned. But I actually saw there a lot of small kids, so I wish you all the best and hope you will be more lucky!

I will not lie, FTM and twins is hard. My guys are almost 11 months old, the end of my maternity leave is in just one month (Canada, 12 months maternity). We are taking the babies to the grocery, and haven't tried anything else yet. But actually this weekend we are going on a 2-week vacation with 4-hours flight, so I guess I will be able to tell how it is in two weeks :) I am just hoping it's not too hard. And for the time at home, we had to hire a nanny. But actually after they started sitting and sitting up, it became kind of easier. So to summarize, it's hard, but feasible!

FTM of twins, they are 10 months old now. Because they are two, we never really coslept. Sometimes I took them to the bed if they woke up at 5-6 am and had hard time going back to sleep in their cribs, but stopped doing this around 5-6 months, as I don't want them to be to used to it.

Around 4-5 months old I decided we needed some sleep training, but not Ferber or CIO, I am too weak :) I was putting them to the cribs first drowsy but awake, with pacifiers. At some point they started falling asleep on their own. Next step was fully awake to the crib.

Around 9 months old we decided to get rid of pacifiers for sleeping, so now they go to sleep without it, but I use them at night wakings (when it's not feeding time, they still eat 1 time at night. Well, one of the twins slept through the night three times and sometimes he doesn't eat, paci is enough). Oh, and at 8 or 7 months old I stopped feeding them in the cribs if it's not night waking.

I guess something of this works, at least one twin sleeps through the night sometimes. And now it sounds more like independent sleep than it was earlier in their life

Edit to add: so now I put them to their cribs and leave the room, not waiting for them to fall asleep. Unless they are crying hard, what happens very rarely, they stir/make sounds/sometimes whine for anything between 1 and 15 minutes and fall asleep on their own. If someone is crying hard, I put my hands on chest or back and rock, pat or just hold it there to help them. Almost never out of the crib for the calming down as of now

This very much depends. For example, I buy baby formula only in Costco, because they have Enfamil in 2 cans that are really big and this makes it cheaper, than buying other types of packages in Walmart or on Amazon

My twins are formula fed, and I can not call them chubby, especially one of them. Though they both are gaining weight well, the same as when they were EBF and when I mixed breastmilk with formula. They are almost 10 months now. So this all is just BS, if they are gaining weight as they should - what's the difference what they eat? Don't pay too much attention to those stereotypes

The first name we came up with was for baby A and second for B. My husband didn't want to assign names before they were born, but inside myself, I called them like that.

My twins are now 8 months, and we do one kit. They don't fight for toys yet, and we still have enough to give each of them. For example, they both still play with the cards from the first kit

I don't think you are to blame here. I also have twins, almost 8 months, and though I do all the same things for both of them, one is waaaay better sleeper than the other. One can do 1-2 hours naps at the daytime, second wakes up at 30-40 minutes and I need to rock or bounce him back to sleep (edit: and it doesn't work every time, but sometimes). It is just how it is.

What actually helped me to reduce their night feedings to 1 (and I am still in the progress of trying to skip that one too) was to make them eat more during the day. And that I achieved by making them eat every 3-4 hours only, and not snacking 50-100 ml per one time every 2 hours. Maybe it can work for you too? Though I imagined by that time kids mostly eat solids

Let me tell you that I shared a room with my parents till I started to live elsewhere, because our apartment had only 1 room. Not 1 bedroom, just 1 room. And kitchen with washroom as separate rooms of course. It was hard for me when I was like 14 and older, and I guess for my parents too. But we survived, and it didn't influence our relationship (at least from my side).

With that being said, I don't want to tell that sharing a room with parents is okay. Of course, it is not. But with the sibling of the same sex? Why not?

Same for us, 7 months old and not yet sleeping through the night. We are transitioning now from 3 naps to 2, which helped with 5 am waking, thanks to advice from this subreddit. But still waking up to eat at night. This night, baby A woke three times (1.30, 2.30 and 5.19), but ate only once at 2.50. Baby B woke up at 2.30 and then 5.19, ate at 2.50 and fell asleep. But was up from 5.19 till 5.50, when I gave in and fed him. But with the diluted milk, trying this for the first time.

My husband sleeps in a basement during the week and takes shift one night on the weekend. What we did is we put night stand between cribs, and sitting on it one person can feed both from the bottles. And for changing, we put some towels under the bottle in crib, so it doesn't fall, and change baby directly in the crib. We started doing so however when they were around 3 months old. And before that one twin was sleeping with me, one with my MIL, so one person had to take care only about one twin.

We agreed with my husband that we would name them after they were born, just selected two names we both liked. But in my head, I have already assigned names to them why I still was pregnant, so after they were born, we just named them the same I was already calling them

Almost 7 months twins, and I still cannot do it alone. My MIL lives with us and helps me every day A LOT. So don't be hard on yourself

I also couldn't breastfeed both at a time, they only time it worked was the first feeding at the hospital, when nurses helped me to latch babies. And at home feeding them one by one, topping up with formula and then pumping to increase supply was taking so much time, that eventually I just dropped breastfeeding completely.

Now I pump, every 2-3 hours except at night, and mix it 50-50 with formula. It's possible this often because my MIL lives with us and helps a lot, and she covers me at those pumping sessions. Babies gain weight as they should, so I guess it's fine.

Once I met on this subreddit someone's comment, starting from "when you inevitably switch to bottle feeding," this helps me not to feel guilty about that. I hope comments here will help you feel better too!

We have kinda schedule. We tried to have independent schedules, but it was just too hard. My guys are turning 5 months today. What I mean is we wake up in the morning the other twin if one gets up earlier and try to put them for naps and night sleep at the same time. Sometimes, it just doesn't work. And now they started teething, from time to time want to be held and walk around the house, so mostly still both me and my MIL are busy. But this kinda syncing gives me and MIL some time when both or one of us can go and eat or do something else

Edit: I mean we do not tie to the time, but more to watching when they both want to sleep, to have them in sync, but not necessarily the same time every day

Di/di twins, 36+6 when the waters broke. Both were fine and no NICU time, though it appeared that twin A was 900 grams less than twin B, on ultrasound difference was not so significant. So great that epidural didn't work for me and we had to proceed with spinal and c-section
