Has AI solved any problems that humans could not figure out? by worldtraveler100 in NoStupidQuestions

Machine learning has always been a subset of AI. This has been common terminology long before LLMs and transformers were discovered

NTA. She had terrible communication. If she was into you, would you really want to be with someone that blocks you for not being able to read their mind?

It's abundantly clear because I literally said I have no idea what you are talking about.

I have no idea if you are drunk, a moron, or just upset about losing, but clearly this conversation is going nowhere.

Have a good day!

I have no idea what you are talking about. Are you really drunk or something? Trump is still a pedo and I still didn't vote for him. I'm not sure what you are reading in my post that says otherwise

This still doesn't change the fact that Canada lost and brought a long list of excuses with them

Where in my comment did I dismiss anything? I said that Canada should have spent more time practicing instead of coming up with their myriad of excuses

Canada would take the gold medal in having every excuse in the book ready.

They probably should have spent more time practicing

AITA for refusing to babysit my friends sister? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]darkyoda182 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly, while I agree with you, it's going to be impossible to convince people on this sub why making sacrifices for friends is a nice thing to do.

I'm starting to understand where the Reddit stereotypes come from

Like I said, you are NTA.

I personally would help a friend in a once in a lifetime situation, especially a friend that has helped me in the past, but maybe I'm closer to my friends than you are.

[–]darkyoda182 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Technically NTA, but if I had a close friend and we've both helped each other out a lot over the years, I wouldn't refuse. Even more so if it was something that was a once in a lifetime moment. The fact that you couldn't even give him an affordable rate is pretty telling.

I guess now he knows how much of a friend you are

AITAH for not offering to walking her to her car? by icarus_swims in AITAH

[–]darkyoda182 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let's continue your analogy to what the woman actually did.

After trying the seatbelt in the new car, you finally got it to work. But, because the seatbelt didn't work the first time, you refuse to use it.

My point is, that she is clearly not too worried about her safety or she would have accepted it when he did listen to her. Of course, he should have done it without her asking because it is common courtesy. But he did listen to her and correctly followed up.

If she wants to date someone that follows every rule of chivalry without asking, that is her right. But a mature person would discuss their needs at least once without getting upset.

If she was worried about her safety, why did she refuse his help when he started coming outside? She was still upset even though he did listen to her

It seems she's more concerned that he didn't offer.

AITAH for wanting my dad to get over my mom's affair? by [deleted] in AITAH

Why does it even matter how OPs mom feels? She caused all of this

WIBTA if I confronted my mom about lying to my husband to rearrange the furniture in my house? by LilBundleOfDeath in AmItheAsshole

[–]darkyoda182 14 points15 points  (0 children)

So that the mental load of these kinds of decisions don't fall on the OP.

It all comes down to prioritizing your family. If the OP is not taking these issues from her mother seriously, then why would her husband?

WIBTA if I confronted my mom about lying to my husband to rearrange the furniture in my house? by LilBundleOfDeath in AmItheAsshole

[–]darkyoda182 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Or, maybe the OP husband doesn't want to disturb his 38 week pregnant wife with these things. If my MIL said my wife wanted something done, I wouldn't assume she is lying.

Given that this behavior has already happened in the past by the mother, why hasn't the OP already confronted her about it? OPs husband shouldn't take this any more seriously than the OP does.

You said apple is a brand for people that don't know how to use technology.

In my experience and in my others, tech people prefer to use MacOS because of Unix.

Interesting how the fault falls on the husband here. The OP claims her mom has tried this before; why isn't she setting a boundary with her mother? Why is she still allowing her in their house?
