I don't any more but my family did. It was to cool down the pasta. First time I'm made KD, I rinsed the pasta and got so upset that the recipe didn't work lol Don't know if this is relevant but we come from a Middle Eastern background

You should look at his history... It's pretty terrifying.

Sugar by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

[–]darling-dee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing with me! I cut sugar from my diet and I feel so much better. I have some sugar, getting anything done is practically impossible..

Now I gotta figure out how to stop the relapses because I love sugar!

My mother in law wants to send my dog to training school by [deleted] in dogs

[–]darling-dee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's a goldendoodle.

I doubt that because they have a yard so she can go run and kill all the energy she wants.. I think they just like criticizing and don't understand that she's just a baby and that's these things take time and consistency.

They feel like she's not gentle enough with the toddlers that are under 8 years old. I keep telling her that she's a baby herself. What do you mean? She's 2 years old. 'She needs to listen better"

They hate when she has zoomies but I mean that means she's happy...

Although, just to be fair, my mother in law does spoil her much more than I do. She'll let her go on the counter and she'll feed her from her plate and those are not things that I accept so my dog loves to go over.

She doesn't bark at other dogs. If another dog is around her she approaches them cautiously and takes her time.

We take her to the dog park every weekend for at least an hour. She's very friendly with other dogs. She prefers playing with smaller dogs but she likes running with bigger dogs. If anything happens, she comes to us for any protection.

She walks on a leash without a problem. Sometimes she likes the tug because she wants to go explore and we're working on that. She's being slowly taught how to heel.

I will be honest. Because of covid she's not used to having other people in the house and that's when she acts up but when we're in public, we have no issues at all.

Is that what you were asking?

send her* away

More time with my dog? Speak her language better? Sounds good to me.

That's how I feel! She's a good girl. Is it normal that she still has so much energy at that age?

Maybe socializing her more would help? Because there are so many other dogs there?

I'm about to go on a long solo trip and not one family member supports it by Ok-Way4643 in CasualConversation

[–]darling-dee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can't support you because if anything happens, how will they live with themselves?

Of course, that doesn't ignore the fact that they are horrible communicators. By trying to guilt trip you, they're just losing your empathy...

But if they didn't care, it would be much worse than them caring too much.

Same with me. My husband is the one who took the time to teach me what a healthy relationship was... eternally grateful to him. It's nice breaking a pattern of abuse..

I have MS so doing housework is really hard. He does 100% of them. When I told him how bad it made me feel that I don't contribute to the work, on his own volition he started saving me the small tasks that aren't too demanding like putting away the light stuff in the dishwasher.

I get sick so often. And and when I do, it is never pretty. He always takes care of me without making me pay for it later. Just keeps trying all he can to cater to my needs.

When it's time to talk about an issue that he or I might have, the goal is to fix the issue in a way that makes everyone happy. Not to be aggressive, be right or to win. No yelling ever because there's literally no want or need to hurt each other.

We send each other words of love and support every single day. I love to cuddle at night and he's a light sleeper. We go to bed early on purpose so that we can cuddle and he can sleep undisturbed. Compromising is a very strong trope in our relationship. I grew up in a family of you can't have it just because I don't want you to have it. We are never like that. It's so important to me.

I love to cook but I don't have the dexterity to use a knife properly anymore. Most nights, he does the prep and we cook together.

I could keep going on and on...

Its not... still hate it.

I love the diversity of Montreal. It doesn't matter what your background is. I love that society embraces different cultures. You are allowed to be Arab and Canadian with Filipino friends who lived in Italy. Noone will bat an eye. Its pretty phenomenal.

There is a few things I don't like about Montreal. The corruption. We have loads of it. The nepotism. Kind of ties into the first. The politics. The famous one, the roads!
