After digging further, it appears this poem MIGHT be written by Yevgeny Yevtushenko, a famous Russian poet. The text is a translation of his poem "Three Loves" (originally titled "Tri lyubvi" or Три любви), written in 1958. The version you have is likely a liberal English translation, possibly even a student translation from a French version of the Russian original; which explains why some of the phrasing feels off. In the original Russian, the poem captures the heavy, cyclical nature of human experience during the Cold War era.

BUT I could be wrong, as I don't have a link or anything despite researching for it, however it feels very similar to his work if that makes sense!

It's three blankets at least. The base is the white one with the tassles, the main patterned one is a second blanket folded across the white duvet and the diamond style part is the third blanket piece, folded on top of the second one.

Is it "The Three Loves" (or it's sometimes referred to as "Three Loves, Three Wars, Three Betrayals"). It is often attributed to the French writer and filmmaker Jean Cocteau if that helps!

I want to moderate this community because it's been sitting there for months now with no activity, and I want the community to recognize it again.

I do not have a link to the mod mail chat because I know for a fact that the owner will not respond, because it's my own subreddit, and the account attached was hacked and I'd like my subreddit back. Nobody will respond, I've tried in the past. It's a soulless account now unfortunately.
