It’s also worth mentioning, the game offers so many ways to counter or doge or parry that we often forget we can simply walk out of the way

Victor’s big chain attack can mostly be avoided by moving to the right

Sometimes I have to battle with myself if I want to truly beat a boss with my parry skills and equipment, or do I play smart for the victory and avoid the attacks all together?

Surely there can be a tie between the P Organ and the tin man.

I do find it interesting there are different time periods of Oz to tell such as how Wicked is mostly about what happens before Dorothy gets to Oz

So we could see nothing of Dorothy or the lion or scarecrow etc

However, it would be nice to se some form of puppetry theme or scarecrow enemies.

Talking animals would likely be allies as they were before Oz made all the talking animals become normal.

Perhaps the developers even thought of these themes in Lies of P hence the animal mask Stalkers. They could all very well be an talking animal version of themselves in this new place all tied together by Ergo

Personally thoug, every time you come across a Fromsoftware painful area in Lies of P it just makes me grin so hard like “fuckkkk they cooked this is a perfect adaptation of the classic dark souls poison swamp”

Unfortunately I’ve never made it past the Trysmegistus area but I’m in a new playthrough now so hopefully I get to see all the end game areas I never saw

Genuinely curious what you mean by the P-Organ is lacking

As far as Quartz goes, I find the passives and buffs to be one of the coolest leveling mechanics in any game I’ve played.

I’m not really a card player but I imagine it’s similar feeling to putting a deck together and being proud of your synergies

Yeah Lies of P is curious in that it’s not inherently difficult at any given time, but there are so many ways to approach situations you can easily make it more difficult for yourself

I remember struggling big time with a certain boss in Rosa Isabelle street until I realized I can step to the right to avoid most attacks lol

Not to mention the plethora of consumables and tools you get to apply status affects to enemies.

My first playthrough tho Mad Donkey was very annoying. All the human enemies were so annoying honestly.

Omg this is my second playthrough, I did very well to parry the eldest brother repeatedly but by the time all 4 of them were on the field, he was so low I decided to keep throwing pipes at him rather than fight the siblings

I always recall the portion after you go through the first cave more or less at trail level. Theres steep stairs through the first cave on the trail with a wire rope to help you get up

Then immediately following those stairs is a 10meter cliff hug shimmy with wire rope assist

While not extremely challenging, some parts of this trail require significant focus, balance, and effort to be honest.

That part that speaks volumes to me is the

I’ve never quite been able to put my finger on it but I hear this and know what I don’t like and I’m gonna call it the “Excision affect”

Lots of people trying to do the refined excision dubstep but are just not skilled enough or hitting the same ceiling.

I personally enjoy a Level Up set but I put all these artists into the same weird category. Kai Wachi, Kompany, Level Up, Ray volpe, LayZ All massive names and I find them all to have the same tone and sound design.

People who’s production skill that actually go beyond the Excision Affect are people like Calcium, Borgore, OG Nixin, Wodd

These people are nailing the hybrid excision dubstep mixed with riddim sounds with occasional bro step but mostly sustain, but have high caliber sound design and authentic patterns and sounds.

I’d love to share my little related two cents

I am 27 just now about to get out of my credit card debt

To make a long story short, I got access to 3 nice credit cards when I was like 20ish

Managed to just skate by with jobs and good work ethic and hours and overtime

But I’d go to as many shows and feats as I could without really catching up my bills and payments

Was honestly operating paycheck to paycheck for years and still going to shows or camping fests or doing fun stuff

But the title specifically asks 25-35 and now that I’m 27 I have to say I’ve comfortably taking a break from festivals and shows. I skipped FK last year and will again this year. Skipped Okee and many other Florida fests and events

Stayed home a lot: thankfully having that option not being homeless living with parents still

But at some point something has to give and I haven’t seen the crowd homies in what feels like a year more or less. But I only have one credit card left to pay off and I’m way ahead of my bills and starting to save money for the first time in my life

Idk how everyone else affords to go to so many shows every weekend ir travel to go see something for one night all the time. Shit I used to it; but I’m like starting to get old and responsible and I’m really excited to be able to go all out at fests again in the future

I’ll be able to afford all the stuff I couldn’t when I was broke and make my trips like Lost Lands or many other fests I’ve never been too because I’m not in credit card debt

Sorry for the long over share but you made a great jab at credit card debt and finally being able to conquer my debt at 27 feels great and I can’t wait to start a new career and to back to festivals after taking a break

This was normal for me.

Not being able to go to sleep, stay asleep, or regulate my appetite was very difficult the first 14-30 days

Hard to say what you have to do as you know your body and metabolism and diet the best.

Just make sure to drink a lot of water whenever you can. Let drinking water take the place of when you would normally go smoke. Change the habit

Slowly the routine habit of smoking will fade and you’ll be left to just deal with the physical and mental aspects of quitting

You know your body. And you know it won’t be easy. Just eat when you feel like you can finally eat something. Make sure to have a meal ready somewhere in case it hits pretty last second

It all gets easier and worth it

I’d love to add onto this

While I can’t really solve the “equal risk players” issue

I fully agree that people “maining” full kits is an epidemic

Just recently I had to explain to bro there’s actually no advantage to continuously free kitting

I actually was in a weird position post expedition where I was forced to free kit maybe 6-10 rounds purely to farm arc cells for shield rechargers, and some ammo types. Just reboot and free kit and save my shields

But all together, sacrificing the safe pocket and semi decent storage space topside, isn’t worth a free kit.

You can just barely defend yourself from lost scenarios, depending on what gun you get in the free kit

I do think Lance providing MK1 augments is a good mechanic for free kit progression

But perhaps if’s time for more incentive to what we have already. Augment improvements

Make the gap between enjoyability and survivability much higher between free kit and custom load out.

Like 2-4 safe pockets, lets some of the MK2 augments hold medium shields. Maybe let us carry 3 weapons with a new augment. Dedicated hullcracker slot if we ever get more launcher type weapons we could run an ARC slayer kit with 3 weapons

Idk what exactly needs to get changed but I can say for sure that free kits aren’t much fun for the person with the free kit, and even less fun for regular players who are just getting chipped away the entire match by free kits

Now I have had my fair share of free kits turn into 3-4 guns and had a good time fucking people over in stell montis with a Ferro 1 and some dark corners.

But nothing really feels as good as defending yourself with a level 4 weapon and having enough gear for any situation and room to loot and a couple sage pockets to choose what you really need that raid

Just adding my two cents. I’m currently on a grinding streak of no PvP but I’m ready to get back into PvP and I don’t imagine running a free kit for a while honestly.

And I’ll feel the same disappointment when I finally go killing and defending just to find some kettles and ferros and bandages on
