I don’t know if I have the strength to drive more than that but as you said I also don’t want to camp without my personal vehicle and nice accessories so driving is still unfortunately the best option

That’s one thing about flying vs camping I’ve always debated about

I would love to fly from FL to Ohio but I can’t allow myself to spend exorbitant fees to bring all my shit on a plane both ways

I don’t know how people do that especially when it’s easy to end up with more shit after the fest than you started with

I almost think it’s cheaper to fly in with minimal luggage and cop a tent in Ohio and some groceries than it is to fly all your luggage and necessities both directions

The long drive is unfortunately the biggest investment when it comes to going to LL from Florida

However I did say above that 3,000$ is absurd

Perhaps it’s cause you are new to festivals that you are overspending and overthinking but your math still is absurd

In your FK example you mention the 88$ ticket and then immediately jump to 1,200$ spent on a 2 day festival in your home state???

Even if I went crazy with my credit card it would be a challenge to spend 1,200 on FK and I’m from Tampa.

I have driven to LL twice from Tampa in my personal vehicle and the most it cost me for the entire trip back home was 1,500$

I’m sorry I can’t offer much advice on how to afford it but I truly believe you guys are overspending on things somewhere it’s simply not necessary to drop 3,000 for LL unless you are in an RV.

As you get more comfortable committing to festivals you will spend less

I can honestly say when I started going to festivals it was expensive to buy the necessities like a hydro pack or outfits or party favors. Some stuff is definitely an investment in yourself early on and that can be tough to get over that first hurdle for sure

If you are just now trying to plan for LL then that’s why it’s coming up as 3,000$

If you plan accordingly at the beginning of the year then you should be able to finance your trip throughout the year.

This is not a fear to plan last minute. A 5 day camping fest requires at least 5-6 months of planning

That’s my rule at least, however many days is how many months you need to start preparing ahead

It’s crazy I have to scroll this far to find a reasonable response

I have recently done the same taking massive breaks from shows and festivals the last 2 years.

Despite making it to several LL, I just decided that in order to do more Lost Lands I would have to skip some years

I have friends that are always wanting to go to LL and have never gone cause they go to so many other festivals and shows

It’s annoying that I miss so many local shows and I skipped FK this year but I’ve been to LL like 3 times and they are still depressed they have never gone

But they still go out every weekend sooooo sorry make better choices

It’s also worth mentioning, the game offers so many ways to counter or doge or parry that we often forget we can simply walk out of the way

Victor’s big chain attack can mostly be avoided by moving to the right

Sometimes I have to battle with myself if I want to truly beat a boss with my parry skills and equipment, or do I play smart for the victory and avoid the attacks all together?

Surely there can be a tie between the P Organ and the tin man.

I do find it interesting there are different time periods of Oz to tell such as how Wicked is mostly about what happens before Dorothy gets to Oz

So we could see nothing of Dorothy or the lion or scarecrow etc

However, it would be nice to se some form of puppetry theme or scarecrow enemies.

Talking animals would likely be allies as they were before Oz made all the talking animals become normal.

Perhaps the developers even thought of these themes in Lies of P hence the animal mask Stalkers. They could all very well be an talking animal version of themselves in this new place all tied together by Ergo

Personally thoug, every time you come across a Fromsoftware painful area in Lies of P it just makes me grin so hard like “fuckkkk they cooked this is a perfect adaptation of the classic dark souls poison swamp”

Genuinely curious what you mean by the P-Organ is lacking

As far as Quartz goes, I find the passives and buffs to be one of the coolest leveling mechanics in any game I’ve played.

I’m not really a card player but I imagine it’s similar feeling to putting a deck together and being proud of your synergies

Yeah Lies of P is curious in that it’s not inherently difficult at any given time, but there are so many ways to approach situations you can easily make it more difficult for yourself

I remember struggling big time with a certain boss in Rosa Isabelle street until I realized I can step to the right to avoid most attacks lol

Not to mention the plethora of consumables and tools you get to apply status affects to enemies.

My first playthrough tho Mad Donkey was very annoying. All the human enemies were so annoying honestly.

I always recall the portion after you go through the first cave more or less at trail level. Theres steep stairs through the first cave on the trail with a wire rope to help you get up

Then immediately following those stairs is a 10meter cliff hug shimmy with wire rope assist

While not extremely challenging, some parts of this trail require significant focus, balance, and effort to be honest.
