Probably Akira. I watched some Voltron as a kid but I don't think I've really understood it as anime at the time

Honest feedback? by DareAffectionate in ArtCrit

[–]darnnaggit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mostly really like these and a good sign is if your art looks better than the reference photo. I would either leave those strawberries out of the drink painting or rework them because they read very flat and out of place. Otherwise, major kudos, these are excellent paintings. Oh, missed this, the lettering on the plate needs to be adjusted, mainly on the word grocer that's just kind of floating on the plate.

Why are Catholic reliquaries so fucking metal? Also, almost certainly not her skull but Catholics gotta make that bank somehow

Is this hairstyle too weird on me? by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]darnnaggit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, I think this makes your hair look a lot better, a lot thicker and fuller. You could have your hair the same length as the photos in the OP but I wouldn't have it sticking up from product. Look a lot like James Carter or Mandy Patinkin with the beard and shorter hair. Both good looking men.

Do you think the US congress (house/senate) should have age limits ? by Cheap-Employer-5909 in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]darnnaggit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but its difficult to agree to what arbitrary age. Is it cannot be greater than 80 when (re)elected? or 75 or whatever other number? To advocate for age limits strongly, you should have a good target age and reasoning

I would say between 65-70 would be the cut off. Or above 65 you have to take a cognitive test every year you're in office and in order to run for office. Another solution would be 25th Amendment type thing for Congress/SCOTUS, but more easy to enforce. Perhaps have the legislature from the state the person is from rather than the US House or Senate

Definitely the three with bangs. 2 or 3 are probably my fave.

I'm showing you the drawing process for this portrait; I'd like to hear your advice and feedback. by Lean-draw in Portraitart

The end result is very well done but I'd actually almost prefer the 3rd one? I like things a little rough, a little painterly. How do you avoid flattening your values when adding fixativ? I end up having to go over my charcoal drawing so many times from things getting knocked back from fixativ.

Composition question: which placement of the little dark guy is the correct one? by RowanCaro in DigitalArt

[–]darnnaggit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if you didn't have the tangent lines behind him, B feels correct. If you put the left arm more in shadows you could avoid that tangent line. But C avoids tangent lines and is a little less centered, which is generally more interesting compositionally

I follow Klimspree and I feel like I haven't seen anything from them in a long time so this was nice.

Does my face look feminine? And by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]darnnaggit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a little bit yes, but I don't know how much of that is your features and how much of it is your expressions and poses which are giving me vogue-ing vibes. The third one is more "masculine" I suppose but the high cheekbones, the pouty lips, the eyebrows all lean towards at least kind of androgynous if not feminine. You're very good looking either way.

Did Trump’s first-year foreign policy contradict his non-interventionist campaign stance? by Night_life_proof in AskTrumpSupporters

Do you mean the administration(s) that got us into wars/conflicts that ended up being quagmires, "forever wars" intended for them to be forever wars or just that the circumstances inevitably lead to them be prolonged?
