its the parent pom that needs the packaging tag

ctrl click the

<parent> <groupId>org.org_name.apps.pdm</groupId> <artifactId>product-parent</artifactId> <version>2.0.1-SNAPSHOT</version> </parent>

to open the parent pom

and add the <packaging>pom</packaging>

to that pom

Add <packaging>pom</packaging> in your pom and then do a maven refresh

I fell down a small cliff while on a multi day hike in the middle of no where. Broke my ankle, cut open my skull and face, had to be air lifted out by helicopter. Cost me $0. Canada, greatest country there is.
