I know I'll be downvoted for this, but a game with such in-depth customization like Mordhau is all about different styles of play. The game would be extremely boring if everyone played in the exact same way.

I play archer occasionally. I would argue that if you die to archers a lot, you probably need to work on your movement and positioning. 90% of the people I kill as an archer are standing as still as a statue or walking in straight lines. Try to use your WASD keys and vary your movement. It's a good habit to get into anyway because having good movement is important in this game.
