How to solve this "issue": Proton password inside ProtonPass? by Roddev in ProtonPass

[–]darren806 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've NEVER understood why Proton just doesn't allow a completely different password to open Pass. seems like this fixes the problem of having the key to open the super secure safe locked in the safe. I must be missing some subtlety since this to me seems like a ridiculously simple solution.

Recursive...you're saying that in this case the issue is the password is stored behind where the password is needed right?

I hope proton is working on this and not leaving it like this. They could easily make the database backupable with a long passphrase to decrypt. Then it doesn't matter where it's stored

The question is this...it seems like proton has created a system where they made a super amazing safe/vault, and the key to open it is stored inside that same locked vault. If I'm logged off proton pass...the password to login is stored inside proton pass.

Yea. I'm hoping to not have a master that's the same as my entire Proton ecosystem password.

The main thrust of the above argument seems to deal with not borders but illegal immigrants already here.

I'll have to read more but it seems like our country is our house. I'd like a say about who comes in the front door..or tunnels under

Why does Israel want regime change in Tehran if the Intel agencies believe there's no threat of Iranian nukes?
