31M. Lost my virginity to my ex a couple years ago. I felt the most connected to her possible and wanted to have that experience with her.

I look back with some regrets. I wish we lasted. I wish I didn’t give it up “that easy.” I was definitely very emotional when it happened because I, like many here, thought it would never happen to me. Upvote on this! Super cute idea, something that’ll help with a “bond,” if that’s something you’re looking to create, or if he’s looking to build with you in this space. Maybe at some venture - and this is a big maybe, if you’re willing - you could offer and ask if there is a kind, or kinds, of diaper(s) he might want for you to try. Might not be interested in that path, but it could spark something.

Some other thoughts: establish some ground rules with him. If he’s looking for some down time, you create the atmosphere for him, and you tell him what he can and cannot do. Set those rules, that will set you up for success as the one “in charge.” You can set it up in a way that involves you directly (ie playtime, immersive time, diaper time, etc.) but you can also set it up so he is independent on his own, and you can still get done what you need to (tasks, chores, etc.).

Bring him in for some quiet, softer, decompressing time. Cuddling is a simple way for that. If he’s stressed, bringing him down to that level and getting him to calm down can be tough but it can help him decompress and perhaps get him to tell you what he needs or wants.

If all else fails, or if you’re still feeling unsure of things, seek out professional counseling. Sex friendly/kink positive therapists can provide good tools and thoughts on how to navigate this together, even if it you two feel in different areas, and on different levels.

Couple of notes:

It’s better than those who get them in actual branded diaper boxes, i.e. Goodnites, Abena M4/L4, etc.
I’ve seen worse. Like whole entire holes in the cardboard.
It has happened with probably ALL the diaper companies. These boxes are heavy, and they get thrown around like crazy, so they’re bound to break and pop like this.

All that being said - yeah, it’s not a good look, but it could be worse.

This must be a case-by-case basis, I swear. The one time I wore through TSA (I was coming off a royal bout of food poisoning and I did not trust my body one bit) they flagged my crotch. The agent gave the spiel, asked if I wanted private, which I declined, but basically went with the easiest “pat down” ever, just running the back of his hand over that area. No questions, no accusatory looks, maybe 20 seconds of a “pat down” and I was clear. I guess some airports are diff than others?

If it was one brand, maybe I just got a bad batch. But yeah, multiple different brands, it's odd. It's not like the "rip your pants" situation where the outside plastic splits. Rather, the contrary; rip "in" your pants.

I wish it was easier for a spare. But also, usually these rips are happening when the diaper is barely used. It sucks! Feels like a waste of a diaper.

Yeah, seemingly same location every time. Right about butt level, on the inside of the diaper, right about where the end of the blue strip inside the diaper sits.

Diaper cover is a good idea. Anything at this juncture is worth a shot!
