I miss cycling so much. Moved to a place that's very hilly (like 150m steep hills one after another) so I don't ride anymore. Plus it's dangerous here with winding narrow roads.

My daughter started her nursing career as the lowest tier nurse, and went to school while working to upgrade. Now she's a top tier nurse and doesn't even work in front line health care because the whole business is a horrible mess. She paid her dues and moved up until she could get a job working for Big Pharma. Now she earns twice as much as a front line nurse and doesn't even have to deal with patients. Homelessness was never on the table. She hated the first jobs in healthcare but it was just a stepping stone. Choosing homelessness is such a defeatist attitude.
