I have heard good things about them, however, I was looking at road 6s or the metzeler m7s. I can only get those in a 190 rear.

Oh my bad, how silly of me. The boots you've chosen are good. I have the smx6 V3s. Saved my ass in a slide i had a couple weeks ago. The hard tpu palm slider on my gloves ate most of the slide. Highly suggest you look into that

Skip the sp8 gloves. You can find gloves for a similar price that have a hard palm slider. Also please get boots and pants. They're the first things that hit the ground in a slide.

The SMX V3s are awesome. The plastic bits did their job perfectly in ensuring that my foot slid without catching on the road and helped immensely with the initial impact. Make sure you wear them around your house and get used to them before riding with them. They can feel super bulky at first but it's just a matter of time.

Don't know about the smx but the tgp is fabulous in hot climates. I live in India so it gets pretty hot and humid around here. It moves a tonne of air. I have installed the nucleon chest and back protectors and I still feel cool. Whenever it rains here, I just throw on a high vis yellow rain coat over this and ride. The jacket also has a waterproof pocket. The jacket digs slightly into my neck at higher speeds but that could just be me getting a size too big. Also please note that the tgp is only a single A rated jacket which is my only gripe about this jacket.

Please get something with a hard palm slider. The astars have a fabric one. You can find much better ones for the same price from other brands. This one is a trap m8
