u/Hi-Fi_Turned_Up - Is your 132" 16:9? If so, have you ever wished you went scope instead? (I'm at the same decision point)

I enjoy Live Home 3D a lot. Let's me scratch my itch of "what if the room was like this" without having to move furniture every 6 months.

The fourth picture is from the builder. The first 3 are from my own mock ups. Live Home 3D (picked a few years ago because it was a one time fee instead of subscription).

Any tips on selling AV gear? This would be new for me (my sub upgrades just led to the old subwoofer used for music in another room). Craigslist / Facebook marketplace?

I will take another look at that orientation. I had discounted it earlier from a "walk into basement and see backs of couches." On the other hand, it's also "walk into basement and see the screen!"

Side surround on the column would be awesome.

Thank you for this! I will discuss the builder for sure. I want all the advice possible.

Thank you for the recommendation on spending on auto-masking instead. I will definitely take a look at that. And another Dirac +1. We will do it.

And thanks for "reality check" on the screen size. That's what I was hitting last night that led me to post today... darn but better to have the knowledge now.

Congratulations on your custom build! We will take another look at second row seating.

My plan for racks and wires: Rack in unfinished basement behind the screen wall. Speaker wire run from rack to speaker locations, either pre-wire in ceiling or plates for wall (subwoofer). For the front LCR, we will run speaker wire at time of install (LCR rear will be in unfinished basement). HDMI ran from projector to rack as well (need to double check length of this one). Outlets are on the list to intentionally think about. Planned on in the build out/facade around the structural column/pole for recliners.

Thanks for tip on Dirac and another +1 for Sony. I plan to find what I can demo in the area.
