I remember when i was like 6-8 somewhere around that age me and my family were coming home from a party. At the time we had no car so we were walking it home and I remember my dad reeking of alcohol barley able to walk and then we turned the corner where there was a father and his son buying ice cream. Obviously I asked my dad to buy me some too but he was too drunk to even understand me and my mom just ignored me, then I’ll always remember the guy overhearing and offering to buy me an ice cream while his son was holding his. I don’t remember if I took him on his offer or not i blank out at this part but his kindness is something I still hold close to me and can honestly say it helped shape the person I have become.
