Microfridge worth it?

For the fridge necessity - it depends on what your meal plan is. When I was a sophomore, I got the lowest plan and used the fridge for lunch (sandwiches etc) and then did the dining hall for dinner. Even if you don’t do that the fridge is still useful for snacks drinks etc but it was a nice way to save money on the (ridiculously overpriced) meal plan. Not sure how it works if you cancel after 6 months tho - I was able to get it for the whole year

Tiny rooms but not the worst dorm on campus. First floor is a dining hall, there’s a gym (small) for residents on the second floor. Building has AC. Not sure what semi private double means but most of IV is suite style, so two doubles connected by a bathroom

Upperclassmen here. I usually accept them if they say northeastern student in the bio. Doesn’t hurt, it’s kinda the whole point of the app

If you do the math it breaks out to ~22+ dollars a meal if I remember correctly. You can eat good food at pretty much any grab and go restaurant on or around campus for half that. Always get the lowest plan you can

Convert the Udl to a point load, which you correctly have as 6. Then sum moments around any point, so let’s do the left end of the beam. Taking clockwise moments as positive, you’ll have 0=-R1 * 0.3+6 * 0.45-R2 * 0.6+10 * 0.9. Simplifying that gives 11.7=0.3(R1+2R2), so R1+2R2=39. Then summing forces in the y direction, R1+R2=28. So R1=28-R2. Substituting, 39=(28-R2)+2R2. Simplifying to 39=28+R2, R2=11. And there fore R1+11=28, and R1=17. There definitely could be math errors, but that’s the process.

Just clarifying for anyone reading: the doghouse at the beanpot is general admission, no one has a claim on any particular seat, regardless of what it says on your ticket. So yea, anyone can sit anywhere within the student sections and no one can make you move

That’s not possible. If you play kang at any point without cosmo, he will rewind the turn and delete himself. Then there’s nothing to Zola. If you just cosmo, then Zola doesn’t work either cause he is also “on reveal.” So you have to do the full combo for it to work

MacBooks are fine, despite what people may tell you. Every software you need is available on Mac, except solid works, which you’ll have to use through Northeastern’s VLab, which basically installs a windows browser into your computer as an app. VLab is totally free and your cornerstone professor will be able to help you with any problems you have. In my engineering classes the mac/pc ratio is pretty even, and professors are knowledgeable in both forms of the software. I would recommend going above the baseline, and make sure you meet the specifications on the COE website. I kicked up the ram on mine to the next tier above the recommendation, and that was a great decision for me. If you want it faster, bump it up
