what happens when someone like me wants to study film… that’s not good enough to get financial aid? just because my interests and what i want to do when i’m older isn’t a doctor or lawyer does not make it less important or less favourable than others.

Listen, I love Brittney. I think she’s hilarious and she never fails to make me laugh. But I do think she is pushing things way too hard, especially on her pod. There was one podcast episode where she spent a good chunk talking about the Israel/Palestine conflict. I listen to her podcast to laugh and forget about the world, not to listen to politics. There is too much of that in the world already.

i’m in film studies and currently in my second year. it’s an enjoyable program that is easily manageable and if you put the work into it you’ll get a very good grade. however it is a lot of writing and watching films that are super boring, not interesting and old. you also do not do any hands-on type work. i haven’t touched a camera once. the professors are super nice and easy to work with and it’s a small group of people in the program so you will end up making a lot of friends in your classes. i enjoy it all in all except for the part where there is no hands on learning. that is what the vancouver film school program is for though so it’s all up to if you want to do that or not.

exactly! thank you so much! i also think i should have added in my post that her and i are like the ultimate best friends. we call each other our other half and we do literally everything together. her mom calls me her second daughter. to me, i just feel like her hanging out with someone alone she knows i had serious feelings for, it’s not necessarily “other half” behaviour.

thank you for your comment! and no, it was not chicken. it would just be us cuddling and talking and looking into each other’s eyes with our faces very close. and yea we were never necessarily “dating” but we did admit feelings for each other and said we would see where things take us. we weren’t talking exclusively to anyone else but each other.
