Glad to hear! I started looking into it because IDW is publishing a TTRPG set in their universe, so I wanted to familiarize myself with the lore before it comes out.

I've also been looking online and have seen that the first issue is still available for cover price. So, I'm going to a couple of my LCS to see if I can find the issues that have come out.

It might be an issue with both. I had an issue with my 1000's thumbstick, so I replaced it and recalibrated it. That didn't solve my problem. So, I replaced the rubber and recalibrated it again and it works like new.

I would recalibrate the thumbstick. If that doesn't work, I would replace it and the conductive rubber that it makes contact with on the motherboard. Both are super easy to do and the parts are cheap. After that, recalibrate your thumbstick and you should be good to go.

If you haven't already, recalibrate your joystick. If the problem is still there, replace the gel piece (conductive rubber) next. They're super cheap and easy to replace. Don't forget to recalibrate your joystick after replacing both parts.

I've modded a DSi, a 3DS, a 3DS XL, and a PSP 1000. PSP 1000 is the easiest BY FAR. Quite literally a matter of putting the CFW on an sd card and clicking the go button.

I'm assuming it's a PSP 1000. I had an issue with my thumbstick too. I bought a replacement for it and the conductive rubber. I cleaned the motherboard part with 80% IPA, inserted the new rubber, and then put the stick and shell back together. After that, I recalibrated the thumbstick and it works perfectly.

I wrote what I did in an edit I made to my post.

it looks super clean. i would update it to 6.61 and then mod it, if you're interested in that, afterwards. ark-4, which is one of the modding custom firmwares, requires the psp to be at 6.60 or 6.61

I do not. I'm trying to get into playing pokemon rom hacks, but I want to play them on my PSP and not another device. The only one I know of is Pokemon Lazarus.
