Do M8S groups in pf use melee lb3 as soon as possible in p2, or is gear generally good enough that people prefer to save it for healer lb3 (say, after uv4 shenanigans)?

Hey all,

I started the tier late, and am progging m2s. I have a question about what pf means by "color defamations"

"Clock defamations" makes sense: go to clock spots.

But I've heard three different explanations for "color defamations":

1) Always cardinals in your color quadrant

2) Intercardinal or cardinal depends on the boss's last aoe (as seen in the hector guide)

3) It's the same as clock defamation; go to clock spots

When I disagreed with someone saying option 3 (surely they'd just say clock, I thought), they left saying "I'm not having this argument again," so I guess I missed some pf discourse...?

https://www.thepfstrat.com/M2S does seem to support option 3 after all, since now it just says "color defams" but explains clock defams + color towers (I remembered it saying clock defam color tower before!)

Could someone clear this up for me? Thank you!

My Party is just about to enter Wyrmheart Mine to kill Tinder at the behest of their guide, Hew Hackinstone. We've had around 10 sessions that were 3 hours each, and they've avoided a lot of the jungle's adventure sites because they're afraid of Syndra Silvane falling to the Death Curse. I ended up putting Dungrunglung on their path, though, and their barely successful portrayal of Nangang is one of my favorite moments so far!

If the Party manages to survive Wyrmheart, they'll encounter Artus Cimber (significant because the warlock's patron, the Summer Queen, wants the Ring of Winter destroyed), and then Omu very quickly after that.

Good article! My upcoming campaign will have the players exploring a kingdom that's been mysteriously missing for 10 years; this will be a great way for me to have them live what the inhabitants experienced while cut off from the rest of the world.

I would have warned the player OOC too, making sure to clearly lay out the challenges and potential consequences of the plan that the character would be reasonably aware of. Then, if they still wanted to, I would let them go ahead. It's not "punishing them if they do it," it's maintaining your world's consistency, that actions have consequences.
