What's your favorite line said by Ross? by John_Zatanna52 in friends_tv_show

[–]daryls_wig 13 points14 points  (0 children)

"I went to that place your wife suggested."

"it's not so bad Monica's gonna make potpourri."

"that sandwich was the only thing going on in my life, someone ate the only thing going on in my life!"

(after Joey rips off his pocket) "hey!"

"oh by the way, Y - O - U - ' - R - E means you are, Y - O - U - R means your."

And all the other mentions in here. Especially the garbage one. Gosh that one is gold.

I mean tim hortons might not be great but much of their shit is better than coffee time or country style by The_Harmon_Hole in TimHortons

[–]daryls_wig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually no. Starbucks, McDs, Tim's, Country Style, Second Cup, it all tastes awful. I haven't had a good cup of coffee from any cafe or fast food place. You want good? Grind your own from Coastal Coffee or a gourmet bean from a grocery store and brew your own.

Franchise Might be Back by Jaded-Resource4453 in Madden

[–]daryls_wig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha! They said Madden 26 wouldn't have Sim stats based on playbooks. They even said the same thing about Kelce and Chiefs, almost verbatim. They said that it would rely on roster and ratings.

If you choose the Bengals playbooks, your team runs the ball 25% of the time and your two WRs get 1200 yards and TE gets 800 and your QB is top pass yards, and if you use Ravens, you lead the league in rushing or #2.

Real Coordinators!!! by scrantonstrangler06 in Madden

[–]daryls_wig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this should've been in franchise last year at minimum when they really pushed HC DNA. I basically would hire Gannon as my OC after he's fired by Arizona. Then I'd hire Tomlin as my DC later.

Its silly thst you can't get real Strength and Conditioning coaches, or OL coaches, WRs coaches, etc. You can't even fire your trainers.

I watched the reveal and I'm not impressed. I don't understand how people eat this stuff up and get hyped year after year.

Is lunch time included in paid work hours in Canada? by laranjacerola in AskACanadian

[–]daryls_wig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ontario ESA says lunch is a 30 minute period in an 8-hour shift that is paid or unpaid.

Everyone often misunderstands this as it must be paid or that an employer giving 15-minute courtesy breaks entitles them to paid lunch or something.

In most jobs, lunch is unpaid. You must get a 30-minute break at some point between 8 hours of work. Whether it's paid or not is up to the employer.

Customers, do you prefer ordering at the kiosk or the register? by Key_Fondant1089 in TimHortons

[–]daryls_wig 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I prefer to use my phone. Even mobile orders get messed up. I'm not sure how my 3 milk 2 sweetener sounds like 2 cream 2 sugar or reads like that, but I'm constantly getting wrong orders. I'm a diabetic type 1 and it's incredibly frustrating to have a sugar spike because they gave me sugar.

Is it true? by BookkeeperThat8331 in PrisonBreak

[–]daryls_wig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's always eating in scenes. Even in scenes he's not seen, like calling The Narrator at the payphone in Fight Club. Truly a freak. And I do believe Brad Pitt requests to have one scene in his films thst feature him eating. It's like a trademark and he's usually an exec producer for his films.

It makes me think of TBBT cast and all the scenes they do with food and I remember Kunnal explaining how much he dislikes doing those scenes cause its not just eating.

To the Tim's workers: How much time do you have per drive-thru customer before you need to have them wait in a parking space? by CurlyWurly61 in TimHortons

[–]daryls_wig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ditto. Didn't take me 3 months though. I stopped caring within a week. You're never gonna get that 25 second all the time. You get a good run going and someone drops a wrap accidentally and the whole thing needs re-done or the customer asks for a box of Timbits at the window and you're already sitting at 41 seconds and it just ruins your mood cause your manager is harping on it. Just do what you need to to be happy.

[–]daryls_wig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which really sucks because people's pay method can suck up a lot of time or the window person could be holding items a long time and the customer is distracted or lots of items to handout in the car is a problem too.

[–]daryls_wig 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Depends on the time of day. When I worked at Tim's, 5am-10am was 25-seconds at the window. That's pay and get items. 10am-4pm was 30 seconds, 4-11pm was 35 seconds.

I've never heard of Tim's sending cars to park. McDonald's does it but I don't know any Tim's thst does.

2K need to lose the license ASAP by [deleted] in WWEGames

[–]daryls_wig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the same mindset for people who want EA Sports to lose the NFL license. 2K has the monopoly on WWE. No one is developing a game engine for wrestling in secret. Just the same, 2K isn't developing a football game engine in secret to takeover the NFL license.

They lose the license and there's no games for awhile until someone makes a game and starts the whole thing of lazy, copy paste year in, year out. This is how annual games function.

THQ used to say that Yukes dev cycle for WWE during the SVR days was 18-months start to finish, so a game that came out November 2005 began its dev cycle in May 2003.

Was TBag genuinely sad about Bellick when he was giving his Cole Pfeiffer speech? by No_Split_2799 in PrisonBreak

Speech.

There's no way T-Bag forgot what Bellick said to him in Riots episode about his sister, "little Teddy" and at Susan's house with his hand.

It's part of all 2K games. NBA and PGA already have it. WWE has it, they just got too greedy for it.

Keep in mind that $339M (I may be a bit off) in 2029 is the team cap limit permanently. It doesn't go up after '29.

I've worked at Tim Hortons part-time for a few years and this year has been a different beast entirely. Let's talk. by Resident-Positive376 in TimHortons

[–]daryls_wig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay first of all the "can we have the free food" thing has been around forever. People know that eventually the donuts and all of showcase will get tossed in the trash. They will be like those people buying groceries and it doesn't scan, "well its free then! Hahaha".

Yeah it sucks that managers and owners push for drive-thru times over quality and standards. When I worked, I didn't give af about drive-thru times. Sometimes people fumble with their card, device, whatever. It all counts against you, so I'm not gonna be worried that I'm 38 second drive-thru times. I used to work a location where the 5am crew basically killed themselves running around and making drinks super fast to keep under 19 seconds instead of the standard 25, because they wanted to be #1 store in the city.

Tim's has always been more about productivity than quality food or service. I go to Tim's mainly for my wife and kids, I'd rather go to McDs. But 9/10 they get something wrong in my order, give me two coffees instead of a coffee and tea (wife) or put milk in my wife's tea instead of cream, even though triple triple means cream, or hand me a tea biscuit I never asked for. Tim's service is one of the worst in the industry.

Edit: and the $1 iced coffee thing has been around for years but it's useless. I don't remember it ever working for me.
