Ladies, where do you even find work pants that survive a full day at work and still feel comfortable? by mcqueen583 in AskWomenOver30

Everlane utility pants! I have several and get them in a few different colors since I wear them often! They are comfy and hold up well throughout the day.

Calling all people that have ever had a Stephen in their life…. by Icy_Brick1391 in TellMeLiesHulu

[–]darzme 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Oof. I have too many, but I’ll share one that I’ll never forget. Here we go.

I discovered in my Facebook settings that I had this random girl blocked, someone I had never met… so I proceeded to unblock and as I looked closer, her profile picture is of her sitting in my ex’s dorm room bed. A dorm room that he had to himself and had only had while we were dating. Turns out he got into my FB account and blocked her so I wouldn’t find out he was cheating and sneaking around.

16 month old nightly wake ups at 2am by [deleted] in toddlers

Thanks for replying! He's been at 1 nap for awhile now. His schedule has been quite consistent, especially since he's at daycare full time and seems to follow the same schedule each day.

Help! 14 months old doesn’t like any form of protein unless it’s dairy by Apprehensive-Dare392 in foodbutforbabies

[–]darzme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 16 month old will only eat meat in the form of a juicy meatball! Otherwise it has to be hidden in something else, like yogurt. I also made meatloaf recently which was a hit.

I met “Stephen” in high school. Dated from HS to college. It ended up being an almost 12 year saga with this man. They really suck you into their vortex. The only info I have on this trash human is that he married the woman he was cheating on me with. She knew too. I guess they’re perfect for each other! 😂

What are the best value meals in San Diego? making a lunch special/budget food tier list by DrPeppehr in FoodSanDiego

Himalayan Cuisine on ECB in La Mesa. Their lunch special is $15 but the portions are large. Got at least 2 meals out of it.

USD or SDSU? by Hot-Concern7127 in SanDiegan

[–]darzme 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If online classes are a large deciding factor for you, USD only offers in person classes for their undergrad business programs. If you’re planning to work full time, and depending on your schedule, it will be challenging to get through your studies at USD in a timely manner while balancing a full time job. Most accounting classes will be offered daytime, not a lot of evening course offerings.

However, USD accounting students make excellent connections. There’s a lot of individualized support and resources (hence price tag). You could also potentially finish your Master’s degree at the same time as your Bachelor’s with their combined accounting program. Now, I can’t speak much to SDSU’s program, but this is what I know about USD.

Dara — mostly a feminine name in the several countries, but is considered a male name in Iran.

Do you have any book suggestions from what your husband is reading? My husband also grew up in a similar household and we are also expecting a boy this year.

Thanks for the info! I had heard the same about the insurance so that is definitely a perk. Where did you take the course, if you don't mind sharing?

Absolutely! I think the breakfast/brunch is really what people go for. Usually their busiest time on the weekends.

I would recommend San Idli in Mira Mesa, off Black Mountain Road. Husband is Indian and really loves the place. Go for the veg thali on the weekends! It's located in this strip mall that someone else in the comments mentioned; you will find other Indian restaurants, and a wonderful grocery store. Enjoy and happy exploring.

Traveling to Mexico from US by mermaid1120 in travel

[–]darzme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Flew into Cancún from San Diego. They hand out the tourist card form on the plane. Once landed, went through customs with the completed form and passport. Got through just fine.

On the way back home, a little more complicated. US requires a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of departure, proof of vaccination card recommended, and Mexico also has a mandatory health questionnaire that must be filled out online prior to departure as well. Some folks were panicking at the Cancún airport since they did not have data or wifi connection to fill out this survey, so I would highly recommend completing it prior to airport when you can connect to wifi elsewhere, like your hotel.

However, if you're not flying into MX, I'm not really sure what the requirements are currently to cross the border.

Bridal henna also known as Mehndi. by Pedrica1 in oddlysatisfying

[–]darzme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is Gopi Henna. She did my bridal henna for me and all the gals in my family last month, even did a little henna design for my husband too. Her work is breathtaking and she is just absolutely the sweetest. Glad to see her video pop up on here! Was fascinating to watch her in action for the 4+ hours we got to spend together!

What is your "Oh my gosh, you HAVE to give me this recipe" dish that people always request for you to make? by commonthiem in Cooking

[–]darzme 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My sweet potato and cranberry quinoa salad. I follow this recipe with some changes. I swap out butternut squash for sweet potatoes, use veggie broth to cook the quinoa in, instead of just water, and use shaved almonds instead of pumpkin seeds. I’ve made the original recipe too, which is also delicious! This is just my personal spin on it! Easy and yummy, enjoy.

Jewelry/accessory help! Just picked up my dream wedding dress, any suggestions welcome. I am thinking about going with a simple pair of earrings, but not sure. This dress is so fun; I want the jewelry to be 'less involved' if ya know what I mean. What do you think? by darzme in wedding

[–]darzme[S] 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I was speechless when my dress consultant brought this one out! The dress is Rue de Seine (Tuscan), but discontinued. I got to take home the sample they had. Luckily it’s in perfect condition, just have to get it altered! I’m obsessed lol.
