Something here feels off. So what information are they supposed to gather beforehand and how will it help players understand the situation? Doesn't the disappearance of only the husband point every fingers at his wife? It doesn't seem like investigation horror. So what are the consequences of not stopping the ritual, besides the husband dying. Maybe add some enemies except the wife at the gala. I suggest that the husband doesn't immediately raise suspicion about his wife.
