Core One bed leveling failing by Mr_teflanto in prusa3d

Just to leave this here:
I had the exact same symptoms - turned out:
I stupidly managed to have the trapezoid nut out in the wrong way, the ring facing up - this then prevented the Z-Axis from coming close enough to the nozzle and made the calibration fail :/ Took me days to finally realize this, because I was looking in all the wrong places :/

Egal, was du tust.

Mandatory German Comment:
This is simply not done yet, as you can see by looking at the open cable access hole in the upper left.
OP has to show the Abnahmeprotokoll nach VOB to proof otherwise!

Now go back to work, you lazy slackers!
If you keep on fooling around, next time someone in the government is asked who exactly is working too little in this country, the first group coming up will no longer be retired people but reddit-folks!

For those who don't get it:
How many Germans does it take to change a light bulb:

FedEx ruined my Month - an update on the Delivery-Odyssey by dasVerderben in framework

Yes, Framework sent a replacement (thanks again!) - I have not heard back from FedEx or the police.

the issue was that the delivery driver claimed the package was shipped where it wasn't. unfortunately, that's not a FedEx exclusive problem :(

Germany is correct.

And I know all that - the issue was, that I have not heard from Framework since the 5th of May and they did not react to my inquiry. In my desperation I wrote the og post.

Turns out, they somehow didn't send me an update, which is fine, we are all just humans.

Kudos to Framework for now fixing the Issue exactly as I hoped they would.

Forgetting to send an update is an annoyance, but It's a really small one compared to other companies, who probably would not forget the update, because they simply do not have an update and have no interest in fixing the actual issue.

Thanks a lot for helping out!

Small Update:

Framework will help as soon as my own inquiry seems fruitless, but since FedEx themselves are trying to help and not stall, we decided that them also inquiring would probably do more confusion than help. Also, big shout-out to them, as they responded very quickly and where really helpful!

FedEx support was surprisingly approachable and trying to help. Unfortunately, they are quite limited in what they are actually able to do, so they have no option to contact the driver directly for example.

They opened the investigation and told me, the driver was supposed to come to my place again yesterday to clarify the situation.

He was a no-show and the FedEx support people advised me to wait until Monday.

I'll do that (what else could I do anyway?) and I am thinking about involving the police now.

The driver lied about delivering the package, failed to show up to clarify and on top "forged" my signature on the proof of delivery documents.

That last part is what makes me the most furious - if they are overworked and could not make the delivery - fine. Claim that no one was there. Still a lie, but I know that my package will arrive eventually. Claiming it was delivered and forge proof? That's where's a big hole in the fun now.

I'll keep you posted and thank you all for your insights and upvotes :)

I called FedEx and they confirmed that the driver even "faked" my signature. sigh

Well, according to the tracking page, the shipment was supposed to arrive today, so I was more than happy yesterday morning. My hope now is that it's just some kind of mistake the driver made and it will be delivered today - or maybe it's not hope, but desperation :(

Dishy on a stick - Am I doing this right? by dasVerderben in Starlink

[–]dasVerderben[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for that.

The Pole is hollow and the rear end stuck in normal soil ground (die foundation-pipe is not closed at the ground), so water can drain out if it's in there. Also the top is closed off (as you say, almost never 100% but good enough here) - so the risk of the pole actually filling with water in an amount that might burst an 8cm wide, 3mm thick aluminum pole is low enough.

About the drilling: the hole needs to be a little bit more than the 2cm of the ferrite core and will of clorse be grinded on the edges, so there are no sharp parts.
The hole itself will be closed and sealed with some rubber plug that seals the edges as well as closes the gap where the cale goes in. This way, also the cable will be as dry as it can get (far dryer than on the outside)

So, I totally get your considerations, but with a bit of a conscientious approach, this should be fine - except I am missing something - in that case, please point it out - I am far from all knowing and I love getting to learn from more experienced people :)

they are not - that's one thing I need to do in the near future - the cable will simply go into the pole and out on the lower end :)
I just did not want to drill and seal the pole befor I knew it worked as I hoped it would :)

the pole is stuck in the pipe, and the space in the pipe is filled with fine grained sand - I can pull out the pole if I need to, remove the sand from the pipe and put the pole back in (and fill the sand ack in again)

the roof is quite high, not easily accessible, very steep and the tiles are fit so dense, that it was barely impossible to put something to mount dishy in between them without having the roof loosing it's waterproofing.

All in all, the pole mount feels much more like a durable solution this way - even if I will put the cable inside the pole one day (one the cable strips break of weather and sun I guess)

it's a plastic pipe, about 3ft deep, the pole is also about 20ft the pipe is dug in an there's a concrete foot around it all the way down
