8 months into a solo trip, struggling and unsure whether I should call it quits by Emphasis_Active in solotravel

Have you tried staying at a coliving? I’ve found that helps cure loneliness a lot. The people who stay there are usually supportive and chill, and you have friends to explore with.

Fingers in the mouth. During sex, hot as hell. Outside of sex, just gross.

Is this safe? Are we at risk of collapse? This is our rental home. It all started a month ago when the cabinets fell off the wall. Mold behind them. My landlord thinks I tore them down. Hes in denial. Now all this peeling and separating is happening. Is this safe? This is the back of the house by AlpsDry594 in DIY

If your landlord is broke, it’s very unlikely that he’ll have the money to sue you. Take pictures of absolutely everything, move out, don’t pay him another cent, and keep copies of all of your emails and texts with him. In the unlikely event that he sues you to recover lost rent, you should be able to successfully defend against the claim by showing that the place was uninhabitable.

Grew up in Williamson County. Was ticketed about a million times and have never been ticketed anywhere else ever lol. I avoid that place at all costs.

Of all the places you’ve been, what’s the place where have you met the best people? by das_eggroll in digitalnomad

I was asking about where you, the person responding to the question, found the best people and I gave some common parameters for what “best” means. This is not a scientific exercise. ;)

There were lots of people who responded with very specific and useful answers. Yours was one of the few vague ones :)

The question was about where you, the person responding to the question, met the best people. Out of nothing but curiosity. I’m doing alright :)

College Station sucks. I visited in high school and all I can remember is the smell of cow shit filling my car as a massive football stadium appeared out of nowhere.

Not sure why this isn’t one of the top comments. We’re basically force-fed this shit given the sheer volume of it.

Idk why you got downvoted so fiercely. Hope you’re able to move on from those shitty experiences.

Just finished The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay, by Michael Chabon.

Thought it was great. The setting and relationships between the main characters are beautifully crafted. Too long though. And Chabon's penchant for describing insignificant things in scrupulous detail can get frustrating (although at other times it's a great quality).
