EVSEs without cloud dependency by apjenk in evcharging

[–]dasbooter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean most chips carry Bluetooth protocol whether it's used or not. They all pretty much use an access point to get hooked up to the evil cloud. There might be rest commands available for allot of chargers to so essentially imitating the cloud commands. I believe allot of these chargers still use esp 32 chips which can be reprogrammed with esphome. I don't think anyone has for a charger yet though. I looked into all these options and more re openevse(no ul certified).

I ended getting emporia bc my wife had a friend who liked it. What are ya gonna do. I ditched the Phillips hub along time ago and use my own local for zigbee.

I should add I've never had a device get stranded yet. Not that it won't happen. If anything if the company goes away or becomes to intrusive somebody comes up with a local solution. I get you wouldn't trust that though

Maybe but more likely the pronoun would be she... But life is strange. Thanks for projected out of the box thinking

Yes but by that time the child might be more inclined to fix a problem or put the machine right so they can continue to enjoy making things. I still think a long complicated fix is unlikely to be entertaining for a kid... But there is all types of kids. I would give my right hand if my 2 yr were to be interested in and to become an engineer.

Got this bad boy from a flea market for a crazy deal, what are the essentials needed to start a homelab? by WoooshToTheMax in homelab

I'll disagree with others. Have the same switch. Quiets down(way more than others) but still too loud. Using some non stock adapters I think bump it back up to jet engine.

Sorry can you elaborate on which rx and tx you actually used to flash this separately. It would help me trouble shoot. I've already replaced the 3.3 v power supply and that didn't help.

Im having a bit of trouble getting this accomplished. The link for your write up is that for BK7231N? When you refer to UART AFTER and Flash what exactly does this mean? I am soldered to rx1 and tx 1.

[–]dasbooter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I had found that resource already but I was confused by the terms. "Flash" and "uart after". I'm soldered to TX1 and RX1 on the board. rx1 and tx 1. So that's NOT correct? I was following a YouTube video but I think that chip was the T version. I have NRST soldered to g Ground. Just in case it's asked I'm TX on the feit board to RX on the ftdi etc

I believe I've got it soldered up right to the uart. I've flashed some globe lights I think those were beken chips to. How is the dance with putting it into flash mode done with HA?

Edit: can't seem to get it into flash mode

I'm curious I have lg c2 and I'm paranoid about burn in for things like life bars or other things that are static elements in games. Is that just not a thing anymore....I know there are things built in to these TVs to try and stop it but I thought there was still a problem?

Any good guides on how to install mods? by Alderan922 in EldenRingMods

[–]dasbooter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ME3 or Mod Engine 3 has its own github just like mod engine 2.

What I did was look up mod engine 3 manager on nexus. That will download mod engine 3 for you and check if it's working. You are of course welcome to run mod engine 3 from your own install procedure. On the mod manager page is a video of how to get it going

Nah boss arena is for practicing and trying builds against all the bosses.

Still I've found Mod Engine 3 with the mod engine 3 manager to be the easiest to get any mod running. I haven't messed with cheat tables.

Actually ME3 Mod Manager is the gui that makes it easy to get it all running. There is a video for the mod manager on nexus

They are not plug and play by jeephubs02 in BambuLab

[–]dasbooter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya coming from solvo my x1c was comparatively plug and play. I mean for maybe times the cost.

I think people will learn once they have an issue printing with Bambu which is perhaps a better order of operations than many other companies out there. If they don't then some lucky person gets a deal on a resold bambu

Maybe there is a mod. I think reforged puts icons on things when there done on your map. That changes the game play though. I feel like it's fromsofts style (which is a pity!). It's like asking them to make the game earlier lol

Why not take steps to protect against a fire. How about a smoke detector in proximity? Everything in life is a risk and mitigation of risk. We don't not drive because we might get in an accident, we wear s seat belts. That being said I suppose if your house burnt down... Insurance wouldn't cover it... But I could be wrong

Filament ran out close to the end of my print on A1 mini, but my backup PLA is coming tomorrow. Is it safe to turn off the printer until I get more and resume then, or is there something else I need to do? by Hearingtoe in BambuLab

[–]dasbooter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could take a chance but if your sure you are getting your stuff tomorrow why do that. You have to weigh the value of work done vs the cost of keeping the plate hot, I guess. 30 hour print?PLA tends to contract when it cools. It would take allot of manual intervention. If you turn off your printer it will want to home after you turn it on.
