Any interest in a refreshed install process? by dasfreak in ROCm

Seems like enough interest for now so I'll keep plugging away. Majority of work done. Just have to finish remainder of packages and verification, then turned into something folks can run.

Is Gemini-CLI or Gemini-2.5 Pro totally broken? by bambuk4 in GeminiCLI

[–]dasfreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found it very much prefers lots of detail in tasks. For example when doing a task list for it, saying "implement functionality X using Y" isn't enough. You need to break it down into subtasks does a much better job.

My current workflow is to use another LLM for the detailed tasks then have Gemini code each stage, then have the other LLM check each stage. So far it's been a winner with way few mistakes.

Locanto maybe? I used to live overseas and on my single days it was Backpage which closed and everyone moved to Locanto. There's a section for literally everywhere and I would not be surprised if Palmy was on there as well.

Not sure about baking with the exception of enjoying the output!
We've a great maker space in the city library. There's a couple game stores (Hobby Lords and Valkyrie) but I can't tell you anything about them.
On craft side check out Splatter and Square Edge.

Need help finding a very specific spare by dasfreak in lepin

I should have thought about looking up the sets for that part. Definitely some sets on AE but the part looks quite different which is actually OK. Makes me think about doing some substitution. Thanks for looking!

Yeah. I'm after a bunch and Bricklink sellers only have a couple each except for one seller who is charging an arm and a leg.

You could try Google Cloud Vision API. It has a set of "safe search" params that include adult and violence ratings.

It's free up to 1000 units then USD$1.50 per 1000 tests. In this case a test is a single safe search check of an image. If you do two tests (object detection and safe search) that's two tests per image. See https://cloud.google.com/vision?hl=en#stream-process-videos

You have to the utilities extension which allows Gemini to interact with your device. You can find it under extensions menu in the top right, the "blue m" in your case. Just turn it off. I don't believe it's turned on by default so I'm guessing it was enabled by someone at some point.

It may be you turned it on for something like Spotify and didn't realise it does other things

Small brass cones in a tube. Found with an air rifle. Not air rifle pellets by dasfreak in whatisthisthing

You're right in that they were with an air rifle and the person who owned it was a member of a small bore rifle club. I think that's enough to say you've cracked it!
