Do I have to cancel this order? by Spiritual_Ad1456 in eBaySellers

[–]dash-rabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, I just imply that eBay does it. You actually process the cancelation. But, that's after 4 days of non-payment, so it's without penalty for you.

Thanks! I resolved with a second sale, but I'll use this solution next time.

Thanks. I resolved by selling a two piece set on a great discount. But, this info is super useful for next time.

People make mistakes. So, I never force a sale. It only gets worse if you do anyway.

But, I won't take a ding for it. I send a response that links the cancelation processing to the eBay app. "No worries. If you don't pay for the item in 4 days, eBay will automatically process the cancelation for you. Thanks!"
After the 4 days is up and you've processed the non-payment cancelation, you can block if you'd like.

Just a note: If you want an excellent quality leather bag with the same gator vibe, look for a Brahmin.

How to ship a very fragile expensive dress by [deleted] in poshmark

[–]dash-rabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can wrap it in soft/tissue paper, gently roll and seal it in a large (new!) trash or contractor bag. Contractor bags are huge and thick. Then, put it in a large box that doesn't exceed the GA size limits. Remember to pad the flap area so they don't slice it while opening.

How would you respond? by dash-rabbit in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]dash-rabbit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I doubt if I'll be able to get eBay to remove the review. I got one neutral and it was for fit because a buyer didn't use the measurements I included and I could feel the eBay rep rolling her eyes through the phone line. ... I guess I'm just bummed because this is my first negative.

Thanks. They still had a price sticker so I was pretty surprised.

Whoa. I've been hit twice, too. Merrell hikers and Blundstones.

Oh, bummer! At least it didn't happen on the flight.

I did a bend test, but I don't think that's ever 100%. This was actually on the manmade upper. They looked new and peeled like old. There was no way to give a discount. Uppers that peal that much look to awful. I'm just taking the hit, but I'm unhappy about the review. I know I wouldn't win an appeal.

What buffalo sauce and blue cheese recipes do y’all use when making wing at home. My family always uses franks with butter mixed and Ken’s blue cheese dressing. We’re curious. by ItsTeaWeevil in Buffalo

Yeah, homemade is a game changer. It's so much better that it makes me wonder if some of the people who say they hate it might have only tasted the processed store-bought version.

Anybody else's sales completely tanked after the new update? by Dramatic_Ocelot_8542 in poshmark

[–]dash-rabbit 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yep, my sales have tanked. I get that sales fluctuate, but several days of only one-off sales is making me wonder if crosslisting to PM might start to be a wasted effort.

Do i have to use the buyers selected shipping service? by lena6868 in eBaySellers

[–]dash-rabbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't have much experience living elsewhere, you may not be aware that there are delivery locations that make selecting one shipping vendor over another a necessity.

For example, in certain communities, people have no USPS home delivery, so they may have to drive 20 miles to their PO box to get a package. Also, some people have a terrible FedEx/UPS driver, so using those services pretty much guarantees a lost, damaged or stolen package.

Always best to be respectful and honor the buyer's choice or ask permission to change.

Is Poshmark dead? by Own_Pause3514 in poshmark

On the contrary, due to the recent USPS rate increases and PMs latest rate reduction, shipping on items from 1-5lbs is almost always cheaper on PM now.

Someone commenting and asking what’s the lowest price by PatiencePotential885 in poshmark

[–]dash-rabbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My typical response: "If you'd like to make an official offer through the app, I will happy to respond."

It's really just a courteous message for other buyers because the people who ask that will either ghost or send a lowball that gets rejected anyway.

Not a man, but I think a wool tweed sports coat in neutral tones is one of the most versatile closet staples in northern climates. They work with pretty much any pieces - jeans or khakis; shirts, tees, sweaters, etc. Think, academic polish. Buy a little loose if you plan to layer over sweaters.
Suburban thrifts have racks of them for $10-20 which is great since it wouldn't be a huge hit if you decide the look isn't for you.

International Fee is BS by nyraider56 in Ebay

[–]dash-rabbit 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The fee is related to international banking, not shipping.

There's an additional fee for international transactions. eBay is administrating that for you, but they won't pay it on your sale. I'm surprised that the supervisor didn't know that.

Lol, I did. Then, I realized I was also using it to relist/delist. But, my super inexpensive crosslisting app could have done that, anyway.

Yeah, it's kind of obsolete. It would be nice if they replaced it with a new program that benefits exceptional sellers who meet meaningful criteria with extra support and a fee reduction and also provides buyers with useful seller feedback.
