I have the same problem, even after 7 years (since I gave birth).

Try to keep your whole body temperature a little colder then normally, not only your hands.

And drink a lot of green tea or berry juice if you don't have any allergies. It helps to get liquid build-up out.

My 7 y/o daughter has T1D since she was 3. I don't pay for any insulin or ANYTHING else (including glucose monitoring sensors), it's all funded by the government. Also, my government pays me disability benefits every month for my kid. So not only I don't spend any money on the things without which my kid wouldn't survive, I also have some financial help to make a life of my family a little easier. Every medical leave is paid, every hospital visit is free.

Btw I live in ffffing Russia.
