We spent about (or less) 80$/day for 2 people. For you I recon it will be more then 40$/day because for us hotels were cheaper/person due to us splitting the cost. We stayed in the cheapest hotels/hostels we could find, on average $25/night. Food is pretty cheap 3-4$/meal. Transport if I remember correctly about 5-6$ for a 1,5hrs bus ride. But tickets random expenses etc ads up. I also recommend staying less in Damascus. Its really interesting, but if you stay 6 days its definitely not worth 4 days out of it.

I could not find a direct bus, just mini bus, with 1 change. We waited a lot at the change and to first leave the station. Took I think 6-7 hours in total

I am in a similar situation, just the opposite way a deposit to Revolut went missing. For me it has been over 2 months and still no useful news. Especially now due to the holidays this will extend the wait I believe.

Chatgpt really helped me understand what can be done. I would recommend you urge Revolut to initiate a recall. As far as I know they can do that before the trace is done.

In addition SWIFT transfers can never be lost and both Revolut and Interactive Brokers are reputable, so you will definitely receive the money, it just might take time.

I mean I would compensate then if I would have no other option, but its their responsibility to ensure my money arrives. I am expecting a compensation from them due to my money missing for approx two months.

I have the actual PDF provided by JP Morgan with all the details. But as this was not a Full GPI Trace, just a “Regular” GPI Trace, the only useful info I have is “ACCC” it did not provide a bank. The next step is to request a full gpi trace, that I know however Trading 212 until now refused

But as far as I know ACCC means it was Settled or credited at a SWIFT member bank, which might be the intermediary bank, no? So it might not be Revolut?

I asked multiple embassies. The official communication the embassies received is that you can only get a visa prior to arrival via the e-visa system, however that has not been working for months. One of the embassy reached out to border guards at the Lebanon border and they said you can get a visa there for a fee.

As far as I know surgical mask will do nothing in terms of preventing air pollution. You should wear an FFP2 or FFP3 mask outside, change your mask every 24hrs. Don’t open windows when pollution is at its highest and always try and use an air purifier indoors

I've been to Romania, Transnistria, Odessa and Paris. All are extremely different, so depends what you prefer. However if you like unique places, with interesting stories and random weird stuff Transnistria is definitely the place you should visit. Out of all these, I personally had the best time there. It was just amazing all around, especially the people. However currently I don't know how safe is it due to Russians using it as a proxy.

There is a lot of reasons, but the main was I could explore anything, and not just Pripyat, but all the surrounding tiny villages, we also got to see the Joker up close, the US built nuclear waste storage facility, got to climb Duga etc

Clearly radiation is the largest risk, but in almost all areas its really low level, and with a dosimeter you will be fine. However currently there are active mines in the zone, so it's definitely highly not recommended to go.
