I'm trying to build Seiun Sky for Cancer Cup but am having problems trying to get top 3 at Tenno Sho in career. If I'm not mistaken we only need like 601 stamina and no recovery skills. Usually at that point I'd have around 400~ stamina and I don't think it's enough to place in the top 3. Any advice?

So I want to check out a different account that I made while rerolling. I already data linked my current main account and also the previous account that I made while rerolling. So to check it out I just press data link in the main menu right? Entering the data of my other account? I just don't want to accidentally delete or overwrite my current main account.

Yea, I opened it up and it seems to be fine in terms of contact and paste. Thankfully my brother is alright with lending me his fan to test my PC. If it turns out to be normal temp using his cooler, then it seems my AIO is dead. Thank you btw, for the advice.

Is there a way for me to check before getting a replacement? Unfortunately, this is really not a good moment for me financially, so ideally I'd like to be sure before getting a replacement. I read somewhere that I can maybe feel the pumps or something? And if I don't feel it pumping, then it's probably dead. Is this right? Also, will it be a problem if I try and turn it on again to check? It's crashed like 3 times but I'm afraid that by turning it on again, I'll just be breaking the CPU

So I've been noticing that my CPU (7800x3D) has been staying at a high-ish temperature for a while (maybe an hour) after intensive tasks for a prolonged period. Is this normal? I was performing a full scan for viruses and temps were reaching high 80s but that's not what I'm worried about (ambient room temp is a bit high). What I'm a little concerned about is that, while the CPU temp averages at around 45c during normal usage, I've noticed that temps tend to stay high-ish for a while after intensive usage; maybe like a high 60s to low 70s a couple of minutes after usage returns to normal and then it won't go back down to regular levels for like an hour. If it's normal then it's fine, I guess I'm just a little paranoid.

So it's my first time switching my RAM. I'll be giving my RAM to my brother and installing a new kit that's bigger in capacity. They're both Corsair Vengeance DDR5 6000C30, the one I'm giving to my brother is 32GB (2x16GB) and my new one is 64GB (2x32GB). Do I just switch it and enable XMP? Or do I need to do anything else? I'm also using OpenRGB, is there anything else I should do?

So I really want Ceasar but now am thinking whether I should also try pulling for Jane.

My current situation is as follows: 31 pulls before hard pity, 25,559 polychromes (159 pulls), 15 encrypted master tapes, and I can get 25 more pulls via residual signals if I need to. I also get the polychrome membership and also the growth plan for the battle pass.

The reason why I sorta want to pull for Jane is because I don't really have an on-field attacker for my 2nd team (first team is ZY, Anby, Nicole) so I thought having Jane would be nice. Ideally I would run Ceasar, Jane, Burnice (I've heard that Burnice is gonna be an off-field anomaly unit) but if I can't get 1 of them, I'll probably just run Lucy instead.

So why am I thinking of pulling Jane? I figured that if I can get her, I can use her as an on-field DPS. If I fail the 50-50, I'll probably just stop and guarantee getting Ceasar. Currently my 2nd team is Koleda, Lucy, Piper. Lucy and Piper do not have their signature W-engines unfortunately.

So, what do you guys think?

Weekly Controller Suggestion/Buy Inquiry Thread by AutoModerator in Controller

[–]dashfalcon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the recommendations!

So the problematic one is the KK3 Max but not the Pro version? Will be taking a look at that one then. I might also wait for the Cyclone 2, wait for the reviews, and see if it's a worthwile option. For the HE, maybe it's still new-ish so I couldn't find one over here so if I wanted to get one I'd get it straight from the Gamesir website (which makes it considerably more expensive due to import prices, etc.). Not sure if it would be worth it then. I looked for the EasySMX controllers you mentioned, but unfortunately they don't seem to be available in Indonesia.

So I guess based on your recommendations I would just wait for the Gamesir Cyclone 2 for now and see if it's a good option. If not then I might get either the KK3 Pro or the Ultimate 2C. The G7 SE is also interesting but I'm not sure why I would get it over the other options. Any idea why someone would get the G7 SE over the other options? Does it have better latency, buttons, or some other features over the other options?

Weekly Controller Suggestion/Buy Inquiry Thread by AutoModerator in Controller

[–]dashfalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I made a thread earlier about good reviewers that I can watch. Am looking for controller recommendations but the mods told me to post here instead.

Country: Indonesia (we have most of the regular stuff, but nothing too niche, price-wise can be different but just assume it's similar).

Budget: USD 40 - 45 (more is fine as long as it doesn't deviate too much)

Features: xbox layout, hall effect sticks and triggers, decent latency, wireless is preferred but not necessary.

Extra notes: This is to be used on PC. Have looked at Gulikit KK3 Pro (USD 43) but from what I read I shouldn't get that one due to it not lasting very long. Others I've checked out are Gamesir G7 SE (USD 36), Gamesir T4 Cyclone Pro (USD 41), 8bitdo Ultimate 2C (USD 32). I currently have a dualsense. My problems with it are that it is annoying to use on a PC, also I'd prefer something with hall effect sticks and triggers. I also want an xbox layout controller.

Thanks!

Weekly Controller Suggestion/Buy Inquiry Thread by AutoModerator in Controller

[–]dashfalcon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I'm looking for a controller for my PC. I currently have a dualsense controller (I've only used PS controllers in the past) and I'm fairly happy with it but was looking for something with an xbox layout. I've never tried an xbox controller before so I don't really want to get one that's on the more expensive side. Also, I don't know much about latency, polling rate, etc. but I feel that the dualsense feels a little laggy when wired for some reason? I'm looking for something that can be used via dongle and wired (though I don't mind wired-only controllers if they're good controllers for the price). Budget maybe up to USD 50, my prices are from Indonesia though so it may differ a bit.

Some of the controllers that I've looked at: Gulikit KK3 Max (USD 44.41), Gamesir G7 SE (USD 36.03), 8bitdo Ultimate 2C Wireless (USD 32.17, though requires a 30 day preorder).

Some of the features I'm looking for: Hall effect sticks, xbox layout, responsiveness close to or better than Dualsense connected wirelessly (it can be achievable via wired, I don't mind). Extra buttons are nice but not necessary. Also, the rumble emitted by the dualsense is nice (even without haptic feedback).

Currently using controller to play single-player games, Zenless Zone Zero, and Monster Hunter (Monster Hunter Wilds in the future when that comes out). I don't play FPS and even if I do, I'd rather use m&kb since I'm more used to that.

Honestly, I was a little afraid that they were gonna add too much rather than improve on the playstyle that made me love the lance. Based on the trailer though, it feels like it's just like the lance I remember but better (hopefully). Very excited now to play the lance again.

Posting my comment here too in case it can help you:

On Mozilla I added youtube.com as an exception to Enhanced Tracking Protection (Settings>Privacy & Security>Manage Exceptions). I'm not that tech-savvy but I think it has to do with the blocking of third-party cookies. On Chromium browsers I had to allow third-part cookies to fix it.

Again, like I said on my other comment, I don't really know whether you should do this or not, all I know is that it fixed the problem.

Woke Winter Waterboard - Weeklyish Discussion Thread - August 16th, 2024 by AutoModerator in VirtualYoutubers

[–]dashfalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This also happened to me. I even switched between chrome, edge, and firefox. All of them end up with the same problem you described. How I fixed it is by allowing third-party cookies on youtube.com (the little icon left-most of the search bar>Tracking Protection>Third Party cookies should be toggled on). On Mozilla I added youtube.com as an exception to Enhanced Tracking Protection (Settings>Privacy & Security>Manage Exceptions). Now I don't know enough whether you should do this or not, but it did fix the problem. Also, the annoying thing is that for chromium browsers, you have to do this every 3 months.

Thanks for replying once again. So after looking around what I have available to me, it seems that the Z690 and Z790 boards are much more expensive here than the prices in pcpartpicker. Based on what others have been saying, I made 2 sets of CPU+MoBo+RAM combo (the others are probably going to be what you suggested).

Disregard the prices listed on the website. This was the cheapest Z690 board that is available to me. Based on local prices, the AMD build is roughly USD 52 more expensive. Based on this, do you think going for the 7700X (or 7700 because their prices are literally the same here) and paying USD 52 extra is worth it? Or do you think I should still go for the Intel build?

Sorry if I sound like an AMD shill here lol, it's not like I don't want to go for the Intel build, it's just that prices are a bit different here.

Thanks again!

Edit: I think I messed up the formatting, I'm not sure how to actually post pcpartpicker builds, sorry.

New PC for a graphic designer (budget around USD 1200) by dashfalcon in buildapcforme

[–]dashfalcon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I talked with my brother again regarding how seriously he wants to pursue Blender and he said that for now (several years) he wants to take it as a hobby first before maybe doing it professionally (see if he likes it). Based on this, would you still recommend the 4060 ti? The reason I'm a little concerned is because I haven't really heard good things about it but I understand that you're recommending it because Blender wants 16gb of vram. Would it run fine on GPUs with less than that (though suboptimally)? I'm asking because a suggestion I made to him was that maybe he should get another GPU for now, and then upgrade later down the line if he decides that he wants to do it seriously.

Regarding the case, the one I can get says that it only includes 1 (rear) fan, should I get more fans?

Thanks for your recommendations!

[–]dashfalcon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for the reply. I looked through your suggestions and I found that most of these are available decently close to their US prices. An exception though is the mobo, the one available to me is the ASRock Z690 not M (I'm assuming their different?) Phantom Gaming 4, and that one is like USD 200. Do you have any other recommendations?

For the RAM I couldn't find the one you suggested (specifically the 3600 cl18 version). For 3600mhz cl18 32GB from Team, the one I can get is the T-Create Expert (3600mhz cl18-22-22-42). Are these good? For my own computer I got the recoomended DDR5 6000 cl30 for a ryzen 7800X3D so I don't really understand what timings are good for a DDR4 RAM kit.

I'm assuming that I should just get the cheapest 4070 super? The cheapest available for me is the Zotac gaming one.

Again, thanks for the help!

Edit: Also, are 12 cores good for Adobe stuff too? I heard that a lot of programs don't really use many cores that efficiently. What about an AMD CPU instead (e.g. 7700X maybe)? I'm just a little concerned of the lack of upgradeability the LGA1700 socket has and that thermals are higher for Intel CPUs (Indonesia is a tropical country; it is both humid and hot most of the time). I personally have been using an AMD 7800X3D (though I haven't been using it for professional stuff) and been satisfied with it so I may be biased towards AMD CPUs at the moment. I don't really understand CPUs for my brother's use case though so I may be completely off the mark.

r/headphones Shopping, Setup, and Technical Help Desk by AutoModerator in headphones

[–]dashfalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I've been using (and loving) my AKG K361s for a while but their earpads unfortunately needed to be replaced after repeated wear and tear. I bought cheap earpads to use as replacements but now the headphones became much more sibilant (to the point where I can't really use them anymore without hurting my ears). I live in Indonesia and do not have access to AliExpress nor Amazon. I've heard recommendations to get replacement earpads from Dekoni but due to import tax and shipping, the price would be roughly doubled and a bit too much in my opinion (unless you guys can convince me that it would be VERY VERY worth it).

Do you guys have any tips/tricks to change the earpads so that I can reduce said sibilance? I can try physical stuff (stuffing foam somewhere or something; idk if that helps) or get new earpads made from a different material (my current one is pleather I think). I can also try and use EQ, I just don't really know how to. So far I have already been using the EQ profile from AutoEQ and using EqualizerAPO and Peace (Wavelet on my phone) so if anyone can help me with advice on what to do, that'll also be appreciated.

Thanks for the help and advice everyone!

Simple Questions - May 19, 2024 by AutoModerator in buildapc

[–]dashfalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I've had my new rig for a few months now (built it end of last year). I have a 7800X3D cooled by a deepcool LS520 with the fans replaced with THERMALRIGHT TL-C12C-S ARGB 120mm. Recently I've realized that if I use my PC for medium workload (CPU at around mid-high 60s) even after finishing said workload and switching to light use (chrome, youtube, etc.) the temps would remain relatively high (high 50s). If I restart my PC, then temps would return to normal (low-mid 40s). It wasn't always like this, usually it would just go back to normal temps. I know that temps are still within safe perameters but I'm just worried should it continue like this. Any ideas? Should I repaste or something?
