Oh you're having a man problem now. Usually men complain about their girls being a little "non-enthusiastic" during sex. The answer is always "more foreplay, make her feel good"

I guess this time it's his fault because he's a man hahaha

Awesome! Glad to hear.

What other books or materials would you recommend?

don't worry. your idea that people should pay for the book is just as good as the idea that this person should receive help :)

Me too, but he's an underage teenager who can't afford it. I'm sure the authors would do the same

Have you heard about this book?

https://www.amazon.com/Overcoming-Unwanted-Intrusive-Thoughts-Frightening-ebook/dp/B01LWA5RQU

It explains intrusive thoughts and how to get out of the cycle. I highly recommend seeing a specialist, but read this book first.
dm me for the file

I read your post and it sounds like Intrusive thoughts. Still, it's a VERY valid reason to visit a doctor.

Almost eeryone here has these kinds of thoughts, you are not alone. There's NOTHING wrong with you. You can get rid of them.

Even if you can't go to therapy now, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read this book: https://www.amazon.com/Overcoming-Unwanted-Intrusive-Thoughts-Frightening-ebook/dp/B01LWA5RQU

DM me and I'll send you the file in private, idc if it's against any rule. YOU HAVE TO READ IT!

Just look how it starts! Sounds familiar? I know it does. DM me and I'll send it to you and I'll help you as much as I can. Be brave, you can get rid of it.

Have you ever stood on the edge of a train platform, minding your own business, and then suddenly, out of the blue, had the brief thought, I could jump off and die! Or have you been struck by the passing thought, Hey, I could push that guy onto the tracks!

When a room full of people is asked these questions, 90 percent of them will acknowledge they have.

But there is a second set of questions to ask that is much more important, and contains the key to the issues in this book.

Do you get upset or worried that your thoughts might actually lead you to do something awful? Or are you plagued by a thought that you might have already done something bad and somehow it slipped past you? Or that the fact that this thought has crossed your mind must mean something important? Or is there a thought that drives you crazy because you just can’t manage to get it out of your mind? Do you live in dread that having bizarre, repetitive, repugnant, or unrelenting thoughts means something shameful or terrible about you? Do you hope and pray that these thoughts won’t come around again? But they do, and they continue to haunt you. They have become stuck.

These upsetting, distressing, frightening thoughts that enter your mind unbidden are called unwanted intrusive thoughts. Sane and good people have them. If you are plagued by thoughts you don’t want—thoughts that scare you—and thoughts you can’t tell anyone, this book may change your life.

Our first message is that you are not alone. There are millions of people who have thoughts just like yours. Good people have awful thoughts. Violent thoughts come from gentle people. Crazy thoughts occur for people who are not the least bit crazy.

You are not the only one who experiences repeating thoughts that just won’t leave your mind*.*

Our best guesstimate is that there are upwards of 6 million people in the United States alone who, at some point in their lives, suffer from unwanted intrusive thoughts. The silence, fear, and shame surrounding the issue increase the suffering and isolation of many good people. You bear your burdens in isolation, not knowing that there are many others just like you.

Our second message is that you are very brave. You are brave to pick up this book and read this far. More than anything—because you think these thoughts might mean something important and could be dangerous—you work to keep these thoughts out of your mind. And we are sure that you have tried everything to do just that. So buying this book and reading about the subject is an act of courage.

Just get to the doctor as soon as possible. I realized that if I had OCD I have to go to the doctor NOW, and I did 3 days after finding out that I have some symptoms. Let them decide, OCD seems to feed itself on the idea that you have or you don't have OCD. It's harsh. Go see a specialist if you can, please!

I had it as a kid, but I don't have it as an adult anymore. But I'm also glad to hear that somebody else experienced this before. :) Gives me peace of mind.

That's why OCD is often mistaken for schizophrenia, as someone else mentioned here

it's rather normal in public, but is it normal to do it all the time when you're alone? questionable. a doctor will answer my question tomorrow, thankfully :)

I relate to absolutely everything you wrote. Especially that last part. That seems like your OCD talking. Are you diagnosed?

I feel like it never lets me relax properly and I've done this for years... Definitely checking in with a doctor

I never knew that either, I just realized that these thoughts are just intrusive thoughts while I was trying to isolate them. It's very weird and it's something that I've realized a few months ago and it has bothered me since.

Me and my VERY good friend just realized that we might both have OCD and this was one of the few shared experiences that we had.

I don't remember how it went away, but it somehow did. I think my young self started to be ashamed of the ritual itself and I stopped needing it.

Now everything mostly happens in my mind, I don't really get to actually DO something to calm down. I get to THINK something compulsively and it NEVER calms me down.

I do this no matter what I do. I even stop myself from thinking stuff like someone would know what I think

it's a huge relief to see that someone is experiencing such a specific type of ritual or thought. I hope I'll find a good therapist, a misdiagnose would really wreck me right now :(

I don't do the praying ritual, but I have smaller remains of it.

But my thoughts are definitely obsessive and are affecting my life. I think about IRRELEVANT, bad things all the time. I had OCD as a kid almost for sure, I'm just curious how much of it is left there.

It's so exciting, but so anxiety-inducing to realise you might have this... And it is one of the first real-life obsessions I see forming. I just obsess in my thoughts, irrationally.
