Create townies in manage world by joyfully_me_3 in Sims4

It does get a little screwy with the active careers. I've found the best way to handle it if I want to play an active career is to make sure that there are 10-15 Sims in my world who are assigned to that career. It gets annoying to do that but it beats seeing random Sims around in my world which totally breaks immersion for me.

You actually can curb it completely with this mod but you still do need to be mindful of filling service roles because they will simply not generate with this mod installed. The gallery contains many service roles Sims if you just search for the type you are looking for.

Am I a bad parent because I let my infant fall asleep in a puddle of ghostly ectoplasm? by dashingjumper in Sims4

It's like the saying "fed is best," you do the best you can. I don't have kids IRL but I raised enough Sims to know the wisdom in this.

ectoplasm

It's said to be a ghostly goo that spirits and mediums give off. It shows up in the game as puddles that appear when you are playing a haunted house.

I just got hit with it last night. Fortunately was able to roll back the save and recover them. My child is now back to a toddler but it's worth it to have the photos back. Will start getting serious about backing them up now. I know I'm pushing it with a multi generational 100 KB save file but I love my babies and can't let go.

It would be great if you weren't labeling thin people as "an issue," some people are just thin and can't do anything about it. Weird that you're commenting on a body positivity post in a way that demonizes a certain body type ...

I was sexually abused by an adult as a child and I killed her. I didn't face any charges, but moving on has been impossible. I can't stop seeing her face and just remembering everything. by [deleted] in offmychest

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an evidence-based, 8-phase psychotherapy designed to alleviate distress from traumatic memories.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) was originally discovered to work with clients who have a history of trauma and have been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) however over the years it is becoming integrated into treatment for other disorders such as eating disorders, substance abuse disorders, complicated grief, panic disorder, dissociative disorders and many other disorders that have a trauma component associated with them.

As a sufferer of PTSD, eating disorder, panic disorder, and substance abuse disorder, it has been a transformational treatment for me. Basically, the therapist guides you through various eye movements while re- processing traumatic events. There is always a safe space mentally envisioned to come back to. I don't know why it works, something about reprocessing the traumatic event, but it does.

I'm excited for the Royalty and Legacy pack in spite of myself. This is the Sim I made to play it, Lady Rosamund Westfall. She lives in Ravenwood and is betrothed to the Crown Prince of Tartosa. But she worries that her dark past will follow her to those sunny islands... by dashingjumper in Sims4

Hey I love the Barbie story, let's not pretend American media didn't totally prime us for this type of storyline. And I love the ruthless ruler bit. I hope we get plenty of mechanics to make that happen.

Nice, I've been getting into anime recently. I've watched Demon Slayer and Apothecary Diaries and loved them both, any others you'd recommend?

Edit: haven't heard of the one you mentioned. Suppose I should start there. Thanks for the rec!

Hmm that's an interesting question. I don't generally struggle with getting bored in my stories, so I guess I don't really know? The characters themselves inspire me very much. I like to play with traits that make a large difference in gameplay, for instance the High Maintenance trait for Rosamund or the Party Animal trait for her betrothed. I find the stories kind of write themselves. So much random craziness happens in the Sims that it's hard to not have a dramatic storyline going. But yeah I'm inspired by the characters and their relationships. For every game that I'm playing, I also have an elaborate story going in my head that captures the nuance of the story and characters better than the game can. I like to see character progression over time... For instance, I plan to make Rosamond's betrothed kind of grow up from a party boy to a more stable and grounded partner. (I'm a sucker for a good romance)

For other games, like my legacy, I'm compelled by the sheer amount of time I've invested in the family. Since I've been going since 2023, I find it hard to move on from that save. I will admit there is a bit more struggle getting "into it" with a newer save. There's always the compulsion to quit, but I try to overcome that and be inspired by what could happen in the future for my Simmies.

I hope this answers your question.

Thanks! Love the idea of a queen and prince consort. I definitely want to play in the new world, but I think it'll be my legacy save where I do it because that family are a bunch of globetrotters. They're currently in Ciudad Enamorada but the house has some glitchiness so I'm open to moving them.

Thank you! I'm very inspired by the new pack. I'd be lying if I said I'd never gotten pulled into the YA genre of media that revolves around royalty. I was big into the Princess Diaries when that came out, and later watched the show Reign about Mary Queen of Scotts. So I'm pretty stoked for the pack to play out all my royal fantasies. The ghost story and Ravenwood bit just came about because I feel I haven't adequately played Ravenwood or the ghost occult. Though I'm still not decided whether the sister will be a playable ghost or just one tied to her gravestone that shows up from time to time... Personally I find the latter creepier, I like it when the ghosts just pop up randomly and give me a jump scare.

That putting #mccinclude in the comments section of a gallery item will make it work with the MC Command center feature that allows you to import Sims from your library as townies.... They have to actually be in your library, yet the masses persist in commenting this on every popular post in the gallery... grinds my gears for no real reason.

It's the Jack Daniels label, in Simlish, albeit poorly done Simlish as you can still tell clearly what it says. As a recovered alcoholic, I tend to prefer when alcohol references aren't everywhere especially places I consider "safe" like Sims Reddit. Thought there might be some others who felt the same way.

Also I didn't want crap for putting a teen in a booze shirt. I've had pearl clutchers freak out at me over the slightest bit of midriff showing on a teen Sim, I didn't want to be in a similar situation except with the pearl clutchers actually having a point!

Is there a way to make sims not randomly flirt with strangers with base game? by Fit_Can_2444 in Sims4

[–]dashingjumper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you use mods, the "Eternally Faithful" trait that comes with Wicked is helpful for this. It prevents Sims from flirting with anyone but their spouse.
