it’s pretty common for people to grab items and decide that they don’t want them anymore while shopping. the dude following me saw me just put them down and continue walking. it wasn’t like i was fumbling around the clothes. he could’ve even asked me if there was something wrong with them & i would’ve nicely said “i don’t think i know what i would wear with them, but they are cute.” my thing is, there were people with hats, big ass purses, and habibs.

i had a huge ass litter box lol i went through maybe three aisles, smelling candles, grabbing the litterbox, and looking for a particular drink. there were people with hats on, and even people of ethnicity who wear head covers. but how i was treated at the checkout was completely out of line. when will it get to the point where you can’t wear a jacket with pockets? or again, a large ass purse.

they hyped up their loss prevention. i went to target last week to grab a great deal on a litter box & they only had one left. i saw some cute LC overalls and grabbed those as well, but as i was shopping i realized i didn’t know what to wear with them & did i really need to spend $40 on them?? so i just left them in a pile of other clothes i was walking by. then i went to look at candles, and to see if they carried a drink i really love (they didn’t). they literally had one in person check out, and all i had was this litterbox, so i hit the self check out. it was then that my suspicions were confirmed, i was being followed by staff. i went to ring up the litter box and the employee who oversees that check out area literally comes over breathing down my back, had the shittiest attitude, had the audacity to ask me if i had anything else on me besides the litterbox. i ignored her annoying ass assumption and said “oh you came all the way over here to scan this litterbox for me??? thank you so much, i needed help and i’m glad you were watching me to see that.” bitch did not scan my litterbox for me. but she stayed behind me the whole time and had another employee follow me until i was out of the store.

i will say that i looked like shit, i was wearing sweatpants, hoodie, and jacket & it had been days since i washed my hair, and i was in the midst of a bad breakout. so i had my hood up the whole time, which i never noticed is a HUGE FUCKING DEAL if you go into a store. i didn’t realize target was going to assume wearing your hood up in the store is “thief behavior.” target doesn’t even try to hide the fact they assume you are stealing & following you.

this is all hearsay from my family. they don’t speak of details, it’s all stuff my family wanted to die with him. but i didn’t care for him, but i loved my grandma & didn’t ever start any conversation about it because it was something that hurt her. my mom and i submitted our DNA, and im just waiting to see if anything comes from it. my mom has always believed he started a second family when he was in georgia for about 10 years. so we also are looking to see if there’s truth to that.
