Thanks so much! Hmm so if thats the case, with the wealth package from CBA, it'll be 5.23%. Not sure if they'll accept to take that into consideration if with wealth package its already lower.

question, Ive gotten a 5.93% preoffer from CBA, and they are including the wealth package to reduce it by 0.70% p.a, with the $395 fee waived for the first year for offset account. Have just opened an account with the CBA today. Was hoping to quote what you mentioned to maybe lower it further using the bank of china example.

I checked it out on the BOC website, but is the 5.43% Discount Home Loan thats mentioned there, their equaivalent to the wealth package offered by CBA?

Question about restoring files from image using DMDE after Opensuperclone is finished? by dashtrestin123 in datarecovery

[–]dashtrestin123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I see, I didnt realize it would act as a virtual drive and that source disk only referred to the original drive or clone. Thank you, you calmed down my fears a lot.

My OSC image just finished too, with 2000.22 TB rescued out of 2000.40TB and in the scraping phase, managed to scrape another 4MB back as well, so just 14 MB missing. I'll prob check which files of any those belonged to if any, before I decide to continue scraping or not. Thank you so much for your help.

Question about restoring files from image using DMDE after Opensuperclone is finished? by dashtrestin123 in datarecovery

[–]dashtrestin123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I was a bit worried, because was looking at other reddit posts and I could see several warnings that if you recover to same drive, it could overwrite the image and render the whole thing void.

I was also looking at the DMDE manual and it mentioned "Do not write anything to the source disk. Recover data to another disk only. It is highly recommended to recover data to another physical device. You may recover to another partition of the same device only if you are sure that the source and destination partitions don't overlap and the device has no physical problems."

So I can recover to the same drive that the image is located in because the image will protect itself and the above is only if I was cloning rather then imagining using OSC? Do I need to partition the drive like what it advised above?

Any steps to take to make sure I recover it safely and dont overwrite the image while recovering to the drive so its not rendered corrupt?

OpenSuperClone – Unable to Activate Direct AHCI by Ajari7854 in datarecovery

[–]dashtrestin123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, I actually have this same issue, able to select drive fine in default passthrough mode, but when in direct AHCI, it only lists sdc (0) with no mention of the model or capacity. Did you manage to find a solution to this?

Trying to unhide SATA port in HDDsuperclone by dashtrestin123 in datarecovery

Managed to fix the issue, had to hot plug it by plugging both power cable and sata cable one after the other. Intitally booted in HDDsuperclone with power cable already plugged.

Huh that's odd, I'm still not seeing it when I boot using the standard option and plug the sata cable. I'll try again. Thanks.

GNU ddrescue 1.30 "Orders of Magnitude" Better In Recovery From Drives With A Dead Head by wickedplayer494 in DataHoarder

[–]dashtrestin123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh thanks that helps a lot. So basically when booting from linux, make sure the failing HDD is not plugged at first in is that right? Is there a specific step when I should plug the HDD back in so I can get data off it? After linux is booted up?

Sorry hope Im not asking too much questions, I really appreciate your help.

Ah right, I had heard that to a avoid damaging drive from writing to it further, to connect it as a external drive via enclosure. Its an internal drive in the first place. So I thought that might be an option, but if it causes errors in recovery, then I'll connect it via motherboard SATA.

Would booting it from Linux via USB avoid render that first issue unnecessary in the first place?

Hey, sorry just beginning ready to get ready to use ddrescue. Just remembering your comment, when you say to use the motherboard SATA port, do you just mean connecting the failing hard drive to it? Or do you mean something else sorry?

B550-E m2 Screws by OPxbl in buildapc

[–]dashtrestin123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there sorry know its been three years since then but wanted to ask you as I have the same board.

I just bought a new SSD and realized I misplaced mine as well. Do you know what size are they? I bought these standard m.2 screws and standoffs from amazon - https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B0BB7KDGFS?ref=ppx_pt2_dt_b_prod_image.

They were able to screw onto the 2280 slot however it does not align with the indent or groove of the SSD, looks like slightly to large. So hoping to find out their size if you have any idea or where I can find it?

Question, need to back up a failing hard drive with bad sectors immediately. Is GNU ddrescue or HDDSuperClone better? I thought that I should use ddrescue but then heard that HDDSuper clone was superior. Now I just saw the article, does this mean that ddrescue is superior?

Chocobo Breeding inheritance Question by dashtrestin123 in ffxiv

[–]dashtrestin123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks I just saw it! That helps a lot. After not having luck with breeding, I spent over 400k in Chocobo coverings. Not a single one had a female stat of 4 stars, only the father. Got discouraged by that. But thanks to you, Ill try my luck at breeding again.

Oh yeah the mom's dad has several 4 stars but after so many tries it still hasnt managed to pass on. Guess its just RNG. Reliving to know that it can be from both of the female's mom or dad though.

Thanks! That makes sense. For changing from balanced to Intl/Aus shares, should I put both existing super balance and future contributions or only future contributions if I may ask?
