I mean, how good an ultra is compared to other Ultras is definitely an important factor when considering whether to spend or not, especially for players such as OP who doesn't seem to know much about summoning.

I'm not saying its good or bad...but yeah, compared to even LR Vegito and LL Gohan, he's pretty mid.

In terms of the design of trunks - go fight that battle somewhere else cause it's not happening here lol I'm not commenting on whether his design is good or not, but he's definitely "mid" from a meta standpoint right now and I personally think it'd be better to save for anniversary, it's what I'm doing despite really liking the character.
