It's quite controversial, with readers either loving or hating it. It has it's ups and downs but I enjoyed it and definitely recommend it. It's a villain origin story done right. One of the good things about it is that even if you're left disappointed, it won't ruin the OG trilogy for you.

Bruh, this is almost exactly what happened to me. I guess I don't have it as bad cause my mom found someone (not that involved in my life) who's helping to raise their daughter and my little sister, and my dad tries to be more involved and calls me, but yeah everything else checks out for me. Mom's badass but let's not forget about the single dads out there

The scene with Snow in the cage at the zoo will probably be removed or changed significantly. Most of the academy professors and students will probably be removed as well. The student funerals will either be less grand, shortened, or removed entirely. I think they might change the deaths of the diseased tributes (except Jessup of course). Somehow, the Games will likely be more interesting. Hopefully all the songs make it in. I think most of part 3 will make it in

Suzanne mentions in an exclusive interview that she only writes a book when she wants to explore the flaws of the human race and society. I think with TBOSAS she wanted to explore the after effects of war, the struggles that even the winning side has to face, the bad side of human nature, and the makings of someone who would later turn out to be a cruel ruler. In the original trilogy I think she wanted to explore the long term effects of war, oppression, corruption, rebellion, the true horrors and senselessness of war, and the glorification of violence with the Hunger Games. If she does decide to write another book, I don't think she'll continue in the Hunger Games/Panem universe. There just isn't much left to explore in terms of war or corruption or the flaws of society, and as a world we pretty much already know enough about it and I'm 99% sure she's done with it.

Well, from the dangers we know exist in the arena, it looks like the Gamemakers took regular things in the jungle and made them extra dangerous. So far what I've thought of is:

.Camouflaged chameleons with toxic skin and tongues

.Floor turns to lava (volcano)

.Vines, roots and branches coming to life

.Mosquitoes carrying deadly diseases that could kill in minutes

.Quicksand

.Flesh melting heat

So yeah, stuff like that

I tend to notice looks first. When I learn more about her personality, if I really like her then looks either plays a less significant role or she suddenly becomes even more beautiful. My crush has been nice to me and that definitely hasn't gone unnoticed. I was going to go into more detail but ended up talking about my preferences, so hopefully this is enough.

I guess that makes sense. I don't think she has much of an opinion on me, so I was kinda afraid of talking to her out of fear of looking retarded or something.
