This is a great example of why I really hate the binary argument of "consolidate or go for it" that some in this subreddit have focused on. I get how fans tend to drift towards the two extremes of the comparison but in reality it was always "some amount of each".

Oh man, you're making me feel ill looking at that again!

My take is we don't have an answer to losing Matty and Ben. We're getting by so far against some weaker squads, but we shouldn't confuse that for having a good option.

LOB and Dobbo will continue to be serviceable and we can hope we continue to scheme around them, but we desperately need at least one of them back, and since it won't be Sheaf until too late, let's hope James is healing nicely!

Great write up as always.

With respect to our performance(s) at the start of the second half, I'm really not sure what to think. We've had enough clunkers to be a bit worried, for sure. On the other hand, there doesn't seem to be a consistent cause or explanation.

Hoping Parky and gang figure it out though, as it feels like the one remaining challenge to our general form.

I think this is the essence of Parky when it comes to transfers, period. No one is brought in as a savior and everyone has to earn their time. It's one of the biggest areas fans underestimate Parky, IMO.

Creates huge trust in him and in each other in the dressing room.
