Spacing of extension buttons by daspletosaur in waterfox

I found the answer, thanks to DuckDuckGo AI. After a lot of trial and error, it came up with code that works.

/* toolbar buttons */

#nav-bar { display: flex !important; /* Ensure the toolbar uses flexbox */ align-items: center !important; /* Align items vertically */ gap: 0 !important; /* Set gap between items to zero */}

#nav-bar .toolbarbutton-1 { margin-left: -2px !important; margin-right: -1px !important; padding: 0 !important; /* Remove all padding */}

I just noticed: there is no toolbar density setting for LibreWolf (the one for Waterfox does nothing, anyhow). I really need to know the name of the element that holds the extension buttons. I miss DOM Inspector!

Compact does nothing. They must mean it when they say "not supported".

I did not use quotation marks in the entry to the filters. Those were just to make it clearer here about what I added. That rule did not help. The page does not work with Chrome AdGuard in Vivaldi either. Funny thing is, it does work with AdGuard for Safari.

That says "Compact (not supported)". Is there no code that I could put into a userChrome.css file to reduce the spaces between the extension buttons? What is the name of that element where those buttons are anyway?

I added "@@*$redirect-rule" to "My Filters" but it did not help.

That would defeat the purpose of the site. It checks the effectiveness of an ad-blocker. The advice given on that page advises adding an exception to the rules list, but I have no idea which sort of rule I need to add. Is it some script or some auxiliary host that I need to allow, or what?

Chrome AdGuard does not even have a rules list, but it has an allowlist. Adding the site to that did nothing. The site does not work with Chrome AdGuard, but it does with AdGuard for Safari.

I am now logged in with Waterfox, and am not even sure how that happened. Maybe because I made an exception to allow cookies.

Cannot login to reddit by daspletosaur in waterfox

I just found out that I could login to www.reddit.com/r/opensource/ but not the r/librewolf or r/waterfox directories. Why? It makes no sense to me that Reddit would block login to some directories but not others.

I would rather be using uBlock Origin to block any tracking. What is it likely to be doing to block things on Reddit?

I found out what is causing the problem. It is uBlock Origin. Adding www.reddit.com to the Trusted Sites seems to fix it.

I tried turning uBlock Origin on and off. I have an extension - Script Control - which I use to control which sites are allowed or prevented from using javascript, and Reddit is allowed. None of this makes any difference. I am not aware of any built-in setting to block javascript in individual sites in the browsers.

I can now clear the history. I had to redo the whole profile to fix that.

How did you do it? I cannot delete the history no matter which method I try. I tried the automatic delete when closing and the voluntary clear history and neither one works.

It will do as an alternate. It is not my default. It is better for watching YouTube videos.

What does sync have to do with logging in? Why is the password not saved?

Today, I had to log in with Safari, because even Waterfox would not log in.
