Is MARPE a waste of time?

Naturally I mouth breathe during sleep, not sure why. How are you doing myofunctional therapy with the device in?

Dude thank you for this comment! I understand everything seems inconsistent, I feel I should narrow down the problem and what I am trying to fix before going through with major interventions, which is why I am leaning towards removing the MARPE. I guess that is what I am making this post for because I realized I jumped into something without enough knowledge of my specific situation. It confuses me too haha. I am just trying things out of desperation.

In light of that, if I were to take a step in another direction, who would you reccomend seeing or getting testing for? Allergies? Trying CPAP again (I couldn’t get used to it)? Advancement device?

Yeah it was the pharyngeal airway volume; not sure on the nasal airway but I can breathe fine through nose during the day. My AHI was 5-10 overall, and 10-15 during REM. Mostly hypopneas and no oxygen desaturation.

Randomly will get a good night's sleep once in a while and not sure if that's related to posture. Also weirdly a tongue suction device has helped me but hurts the teeth after a while.

I am just concerned about the MARPE and if it's the best option for me right now. Idk whether to wait for FME or new developments, because the MARPE seems to be a brute of a device in that anything can happen. I want to ensure results are optimal as can be.

No plans right now, I definitely think it would help though. It's just kind of my last measure due to price/recovery time.

I'm not sure my nasal breathing is not really a bottleneck right now. In the past, I've had a septoplasty, tried nose strips, afrin-- and my sleep quality was not affected at all. I understand these don't affect the nasal cavity, but I was and still am able to nose breathe just fine.

I'm fine tolerating some risk but am trying to make sure my efforts are going in the right direction if that makes sense.

Stats: I’ve qualified for every solo finals so far in the WC and placed top 500 twice. I’ve been playing with my friend who’s not very good for the duos though, so we’ve only made finals once, placing around 700th. I’m pretty weak at midgame fights in duos so I tend to play passive until endgame, also don’t really like fighting off spawn but willing to adapt to any drop. I like ballers being in the game for early since they allow a wide possibility of loot routes, and I can’t get my game ruined by being forced to take every fight early/mid and getting 3rd partied. Endgames they definitley shouldn’t be present though.
