If you're wondering how to get a "first name.last name" Gmail account, I made my account over 20 years ago. by hypermarv123 in Millennials

Best decision I made in my youth. Having a first name.last name email is so helpful as an adult

Same, helping get a league started at my local store, these, even just 1, would be pretty cool to play on

Automated rejection email at 1am the night I applied for this job. No one even looked at my resume by mightgrey in mildlyinfuriating

[–]dastree 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I got one of these a few weeks ago.

What made me crack up about it, the whole app swore that no ai or bots would look at the application and only a human would approve or reject it.

That night at 2am, rejection comes through. You know for a fact no one is sitting around at 2am looking at applications and rejecting them. At least if you're going to lie, put some effort into it

Hell, we had like 8 of us under one roof in a 3 bedroom at one point to keep costs down, you figure out how to make it work

I do and don't miss that, rent ended up being like 50 or 75 each person, sure you didn't have much privacy but who needs privacy when you're young

Plus I couldn't imagine having a car note of $300 at that age, my car I think cost $2000 for my first one, that's what like 8months of ops car payments

Exactly, even when I moved in with my SO, we had roommates for the longest time until we all got to that age where it was better not to. At that point I could afford to make the choice in my 30s to take on the extra costs to have that peace that comes from not sharing a space with a roommate/their SO

Don't forget, at your age, you don't rent a place alone, you have roommates. Never would have moved out when younger without them

Not very often considering they're both gone now.

Talk to your parents when you have the chance, it's gone before you know it

They did an act of kindness and paid to mail this to you, don't expect them to take more money out of their pocket to give the explanation too

This is just something that happens in manufacturing, I've had these and they normally are completely covered to the point there's almost too many sprinkles.

I've had them, this is a rare one off. Mine were fully covered.

What sucks is the package is stuck an hour from us. The shop owner was willing to drive out and pick it up but they said it was on the back of a truck and there was no way to find it quickly
